This water/food dish works fantastic. It keeps feathers and unwanted waste from contamination and don't have to change the contents as often,especially useful when going away on a 3 day weekend.

What is the dimension of the side to side where the cup has to fit through the opening in the cage? Could also be worded as what is the size of this cup across the front where the opening is. Previous answers unclear which direction is which number.
- The cup is 3 3/8" wide. So to put it another way, the door or cage opening needs to be at least 3 3/8" wide, but no larger than 4 1/16" wide or the cup could be inserted all the way through the opening.
