Horrible!
I was talked into buying this for my hedgehog today at the rapid city store. I didn't want to but the young sales associate was pushy. I just had to cut my hedgehog out of it. She turned purple. This is not ok. I wish I could get my money back. I don't know if my hedge is hurt or if she'll be ok.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Great for diy gerbil toys
I poke holes in the tube and stuff it with willow and apple tree sticks for a great toy. My gerbils are slowly chewing the tube but it lasts way longer than regular tp tubes. Just toss the stuffing.

Hamsters seem to enjoy it :)
I got two fancy hamsters at petco a few days ago and got this for them, they seem to enjoy it. I've seen one nap inside it, and they both have poked around in it. They're not estatic with it by any means, but for the price, it seems worth it for them.

DANGER DO NOT BUY
This product is dangerous because of the fluff which can kill your hamster and you can use a used toilet paper roll is is the same thing except it isn't blue

Worth it!
The tube came exactly as described and my gerbils love it! It's stronger than a toilet paper tube so it will last longer.

So far they haven’t paid much attention to it
I bought my rats a couple weeks ago. I also bought them some other toys so I think that’s why they haven’t really been to interested in it but I am sure they will

Is this big enough for a full grown rat male
- I am not sure how large a full grown rat is. I used mine for dwarf hamsters. I think they would fit a regular size hamster. There is a larger size that might be better if your rat/family member is larger. When I use them, I took most of the bedding out & put some back in, that way my hamsters could either use it as a bed or toy/ tunnel to crawl through. I cut mine in half because dwarf's are smaller, but they last a long time if you rat is not a big chewer (some dwarfs chew a lot, my last one did not). They are great entertainment though. Check out the other size & the size of your rat & see which would be better would be my suggestion.

A number of people wrote that the bedding is not safe for hamsters. Is th at true?
- The main concern about fluffy bedding is either the hamster will ingest it accidentally or they will get their feet tangled up in the cotton ball. Though it’s really rare and just look out for it, if it happens. Hope that helps!
