This cover is made of very thin silk / scarf like material. It does not block out the light nor will it help keep the chill off in winter time. My bird lives indoors, but my house gets cold in the winter. My bird can see the patterns through the material and when a breeze or air from the ceiling fan causes the cover to move the moving patterns scare him. The ties in the front leave gaps especially on the top of the cage in the front. I was expecting a more substantial, light blocking cover.

It does the job it’s kind of ugly and plastic feeling but it’s ok

I have three of these covers for my cages. I like that the front ties because my birds dont like being completely cover. They wash well also

Great size for 2 small birds (finches or canaries). Only reason for losing a star is the fact I have to remove the entire top of the cage to detach from the tray/bottom in order to clean it. I would’ve hoped the wire tray/rack would’ve remained attached to the cage so the outside sticks I’ve implemented for additional fun and perches for my birds would not come into disarray every time I need to clean the cage.

I chose this item because it's lightweight he gives the bird comfort but it knows it's time to go to bed as prescribed
