Wish I could love it

I used this for my gerbils before I searched if Chinese fir wood was safe for them. Apparently there’s a chance it can be toxic and splinter in their mouths if chewed. Great size but I just wish the wood was 100% safe.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My hamster totally loves these bridges to use as hides, bridges, and total chillout spots. I got her one when I first got her and she just got an upgraded tank, so I got her another one since she loved the first one so much!

Yes, I recommend this product.

this works great for my hamster, i use several in her enclosure to create bridges, platforms, and fences (for bedding). she also loves to chew on it! seems like it would be a bit small for guinea pigs

Yes, I recommend this product.

A great buy

We were looking for something versatile for a tortoise habitat. This work great. Sturdy enough for juvenile tortoises to safely climb and hide under. It bends easily and stays in place. A bonus: its wood so holds a bit of moisture when misted, to help with humidity requirements.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good bending, only covers 1/2 of a guinea pig

It bends and holds its shape well. When curved into a cave, it is definitely a little small for our guinea pigs, even our "small" guy. Covers about half a pig. If we put two together, it's just about long enough, but doesn't leave a lot of height clearance. But that's in a cave form. It bends into bridges and other shapes too. Might just be a better toy for a smaller animal.

No, I do not recommend this product.

is this wood safe for hermit crabs?

  1. I've actually used it for hermit crabs. It was okay but it molded eventually (after maybe a month of use).

What are the dimensions?

  1. 10 1/2 inches long, 6 1/2 wide

I was wondering if I could use this between ledges for my chinchilla? I think it's used for some other purpose though. But it was in the small pets but I don't know. Can I use this??

  1. you should be able to, my guinea pigs can use it. my biggest is about 3 pounds. it depends on the chinchillas size

Is this big enough fir a Syrian Hans yet to hide underneath?

  1. It is long enough to make an arch that a Syrian hamster can fit beneath. However, it is narrow, so it wouldn’t make a great hiding area unless maybe it was placed against a wall. We used it mostly as something to climb on, over, under, and around.

Is this big enough to use as a hideway for chinchillas? What are the dimensions?

  1. Definitely not. I’m unsure of the dimensions but it’s just large enough for two adult gerbils.  I would think it would be a bit snug even for a single rat.

Hello, I was wondering if you carry any of these in a bigger size? I'm attempting to create a double decker cage out of two existing cages that I already have. If you dont have a larger one, what would you suggest? (This is for rats and I need 12" length)

  1. Hi tikiratgirl, We don’t carry a larger size. If it’s for rats, the customer can possibly use a bird ladder such as the below linked SKU. https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petcostore/product/you-and-me-chirp-up-the-ladder-rope-and-wood-bird-perch Thanks,

can guinea pig chew on this ? is it safe for them?

  1. Hi mom of cupcake pig, It is safe for guinea pigs. Thanks,

Is this safe for mice? Thanks!

  1. We don't have mice at the moment but I don't see why there would be a problem. If dwarf hamsters can use this without issue then mice should be fine.

How is this wood prepared?  If this is pine it’s not safe for mice and rats unless it’s kiln dried.

  1. Hi Jjjjjjjj123456789, The wood is pine wood, the color on the wood is burnt-out effect which is treated by fire. Also the finished good is dried in the drying room, the product is safe to use. Thanks,

What kinds of wood are rat friendly specially to chew on?

  1. Hi NikkiSixx418 This item safe for rats to chew on. We suggest that you contact your local Petco store's small animals experts for other kinds of woods your rat can chew on. Thanks,
