Is there a type of bird cage for parakeets. We have two that are in a basic counter top cage but I wanted to get a bigger one. I was told not to get one with dome top. Is this correct?
So I have three parakeets. The blue ones are both younger. I got a female for my blue male and then needed to upgrade to a bigger cage for them so I found someone who was selling a big cage wth a parakeet that came with the cage. He is green and is prob about 4 or 5 years old. When we got him he had a busted out beak. Where his left nose hole should be it was all crushed in. I think the younger ones pecked out his broken nose now don't no what to do
Why is mylovebird is sitting in the corner of his cage?
Parakeet-puffed up, external constipation, dropped wings, curved keel, shortness of breath. Eats, and drinks. Is 5 yrs old. Sleeps a lot during past 2 days. did talk, but now wheezes! My vet isnt an avian vet! Suggest could be upper respiratory infection, needing antibiotics! Any help is welcomed! Thank you!
My Canary, Ringo, has a Cage that has a peaked roof, like a house. I have a chance to get a Flat-topped roof, larger cage. Which type of cage do Canaries like? I prefer the house-style cage, as it is more attractive. But, I realize Canaries don't know about their cage being attractive. Ringo would be able to fly more in the larger cage. Is the Peaked Roof just a Personal, Human Preference? And, Not the Canaries?
