Are the bars thick or thin like most parakeet cages?
- This cage has thick bars. I am very pleased with mine. I love the door with a latch and the ay area on top . Even better my bird loves it.

Is there a type of bird cage for parakeets. We have two that are in a basic counter top cage but I wanted to get a bigger one. I was told not to get one with dome top. Is this correct?

I got a female for my blue male and then needed to upgrade to a bigger cage for them so I found someone who was selling a big cage wth a parakeet that came with the cage. Hello! My parakeet, 6 years old, has developed a thin reddish black growth that seems to be coming from the inside of his beak and splitting off. It's about 1/8 of an inch long. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
My Canary, Ringo, has a Cage that has a peaked roof, like a house. I have a chance to get a Flat-topped roof, larger cage. Which type of cage do Canaries like? I prefer the house-style cage, as it is more attractive. But, I realize Canaries don't know about their cage being attractive. Ringo would be able to fly more in the larger cage. Is the Peaked Roof just a Personal, Human Preference? And, Not the Canaries?
My parakeet is stretching its neck with it's beak open repeatedly for no apparent reason. It's feces have a green discoloration and it also is spending lots of time at the bottom of it's cage
Can I take a shower with a Amazon Parrot? What temperature range water is safe? Do I need to give them a cuttle cone? What to chew one? How often do I have to take them for beak/wing/nail trim? What size cage? It would probably be out a lot because I am home most every day. Only gone on Fridays. I want a bird that can do almost everything with me and not too small. About a medium bird?
