My 8 y/o male cat had his first bout of cystitis a few weeks ago, my vets only solution was to give Rx food (Hills, Royal Canin or ProPlan) these all have fish products in them (even non fish flavors) and my cat is allergic. They have no other suggestions and said he will have another issue if he's not on that food. I've read about Wysong Uretic wet food, Wysong Biotic ph- supplement, Cystease, Tinkle Tonic, etc - would anything else work as an alternative? PLEASE HELP!
Dear friends; my 15 y.o. cat is chronic renal. she takes 125 ml serum w/lactate every 48 hs. No appetite: I must feed her Recovery & AD 120 ml/day via a seringe in the mouth. The only food she will eat spontaneouly is ND tuna or tuna&salmon. I live in Brazil, these cans are imported, very expensive. The vet told not to feed commercial canned tuna for its sodium content. Question: what if I buy natural tuna or salmon at the fishmonger and give her? Thank you VERY much!

My cat is 9 years old, she got a UTI 4 months ago & it was on & off for 2-3 months. She had 2 rounds of antibiotics. The scan/X-ray showed kidney stones. She was flushed with xtra fluids and put on food for urinary tract & has stayed on it. She has been fine since. She eats dry food. Should I change her to wet? Her weight is good. My kitten is doing really well & having solid stools (after trying many foods) on Taste of the Wild Canyon River (Trout & Salmon).
