MORE SHREDS!!! YAY YIPPIE!!!

I give Mt dogs whole grains because in the wild wolves kill animals that eat grains and they eat the contents of these animals stomachs. Plus studies are showing (haven't proven it yet) that diets without grains contribute to canine heart issues. Now I have used this product for about 1.5yrs now a d my dogs LOVE the shreds. Before Petco was extremely skimpy on the amount of shreds they had in the bag, however this latest bag seems to be 50/50 shreds and kibble which of course my dogs love. They chow down and hoover up everything and leave shiny bowls. I hope PETCO continues woth the increased shreds. As for dogs bowels, I always introduce new food slowly so for those commentators complaining about poop, you aren't slowly getting your dogs digestive tract used to the new food. This is great, High quality food that my dogs eat wholeheartedly.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I just switched my puppy to this chicken and brown rice and so far so good, seems to like it soon I’ll be switching to adult chicken and rice. I feel good about the food and priced right.

Dogs won’t eat

Pitbull mommy2

I bought this food just a few days ago. I have two pitbulls that are not picky. But they would not eat this food. My female pit who is seven has not eaten since I bought it. So finally I got sick of listening to her stomach grumble from hunger and returned it for something new.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good for small bites

The food itself was a great size for my small dogs. I have a chihuahua with a small bite and he had no trouble eating this food. The only concern I have is that compared to the brand they currently eat, this one made them poop a lot more and it had a strong smell. I would use it in an emergency as my dogs did seem to enjoy it, but I won't be switching them over to this brand.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My dogs absolutely loved this food, my older GSD is normally a picky but he couldn't get enough of this. And I loved that it has actual little bits of the high protein shreds in it, its like little treats in their everyday food and I love that!

Yes, I recommend this product.

My breeder told me to buy this and I did . I read all the great ingredients it has . It’s not that expensive. I order it and my 6 baby’s love this . They had a hard time eating hills science diet , Royal Canin , Nutri source , Blue buffalo. I tried a lot of different brands . No baby’s didn’t like . So I will keep this one .

Yes, I recommend this product.

Both my dogs absolutely loved this food. Only quality ingredients listed. Even the shapes of the food were quality. And because its healthier they actually ate less at meal time. I will continue to feed my dogs this food

How many kcals per cup is this? Interested in trying it for my dog but she’s on a lower calorie diet currently and can’t seem to find the nutrition info for this!

  1. Hi Jfits, Good day! It has 375 kcals/cup. Thanks,

Has this food given anyone's dog an upset stomach? I have always used whole hearted, usually the chicken and pea but this is the only kind my store had so I grabbed this instead. I have an older English bulldog which is the one this has affected the most.

  1. Not when I was using it. Older and younger dog both enjoyed it with no problems.

Does this good have taurine in it because I don’t see it in the ingredients list?

  1. Hi BRiZZ, Good day! Yes, it does have taurine. Thanks,

Would the whole hearted plus be a good choice for an 80lb lab or is the whole hearted large breed a better choice? I like the idea of the shreds in the plus, but the kibble is small. Thanks.

  1. Hi minnie1234, Good day! Yes, the WholeHearted Plus line is a great choice for all breed sizes and includes high protein shreds within the kibble. Our WholeHearted Large Breed Line is tailored specifically for bigger dogs but is kibble only. If kibble size is a concern then the Large Breed line could be the way to go and you can include high protein toppers like the WholeHearted Chicken Breast Freeze-Dried Dog Treats, SKU 3267421. Thanks,

Just curious what the difference is between this product for small dogs and for large breed dogs? I have both and have gotten a small bag, the kibble is very small, all my dogs love it and I want to order the best for their sizes. Thanks.

  1. Hi Dale Green, The main difference between small breed and large breed kibble is the size of the kibble pieces. WholeHearted Large Breed food also has Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplements to support joint health. Thanks,
