Questions
Is it normal for a cat to use the litter box more after eating this food? At least 3x per hour. He will leave the litter box and immediately have to go back in. This behavior only started when this food was introduced.
- My cat did not have any problems with this food.

calories per cup?
- 3/4 cup about 200 kcals

I have my cat on Purina One right now and his fur is super soft! He needs to lose weight but I wonder how Whole Hearted will affect the softness of his coat, if at all. Anyone notice a difference in their cat's fur? Softer or not?
- My cat Penny has been on this food for a yr and half. I have not noticed any change in her fur. it is very soft and shiny. She was putting on weight, so that is why I selected this food. She has lost weight and is more active. She is 8 yrs old.

Would this food be just as good as the hairball care foods? I noticed the ingredients had a good amount of fiber. My cats need hairball control every day to help prevent vomiting and other issues.
- So I was very surprised when my my cats veterinarian told us to absolutely never ever feed them a hairball control food. He stated the efficacy is in fact a result of your poor pet suffering from chronic nausea. Can you imagine? Ask your vet obviously, but I am staying away from those foods.

Did anyone get a bag recently and it was darker than usual? I did, I just hope it's okay even though it doesn't expire until October 2020.
- Mines been lighter and darker for different bags. As long as the expiration date is good, I don't foresee it's any different. My cat still loves it the same.

Asking my question again- I'm needing the ash content of the food. I'm aware of checking with my vet and all (as suggested in an answer to my question the first time), I'm just needing the ash information.
- No information on bag about ash content.

What is powdered cellulose made of?
- It comes from tree bark, it's harmless. It keeps the food products from getting moldy and sticking in the package. They also put it in shredded cheese.

What is the ash content of this food?
- if you cat is older (need for ash control) try the senior formula. I use the indoor Wholehearted cat food, but my one cat is 11 yrs old and is doing fine. make sure to check with vet how much to feed, too much of grain free food, and your pet will put on weight instead of maintaining weight.

My Garfield is 22.5 lbs and cries all day and night if he doesn't get the amount of food he wants. I already feed him inside food but thought about trying another brand but he ONLY eats seafood flavor. Any sugg on a "diet dry food" that is seafood flavor?
- Hi Garfield’s mom! I have two “chow hound” cats! Honestly, Whole hearted is a superior brand (Petco’s brand) which has been rated one of the best cat foods on the market! Since Whole hearted only has a weight control in Chicken & Pea Recipe, I suggest Garfield tried it! I was concerned that since it was a weight control chow, my crew wouldn’t like it, but they cry for it if they can see the bottom of the bowl! If Garfield doesn’t like it you could donate it to a shelter! But I bet he’ll love it! Good luck & Happy Holidays!

Will this Weight Control recipe ever be offered in a larger bag like most of the other recipes are? We go through a lot of it!
- Hi Jaxson01, This will be evaluated. Thanks,
