Excellent For Chickens; Cats Are Indifferent

Modern Game Bantams

My chickens are obsessed with these. They're favored over mealworms, soldier fly larvae, and even crickets. A hen who I've struggled to make friends with for over a year became my best bud overnight after rewarding her with these, now she hops on my lap to beg for her fishy treats. They're just the right size too, easier to grab than dried mealworms which may crumble as soon as you touch them, and smaller than dried soldier fly larvae so they don't fill up the birds' crop as quickly when training. I tried giving some to my cats (the intended audience) and the cats weren't interested. These cats will eat everything from lettuce to tortilla chips, so I'm not sure what that says about the product when chickens love them but cats don't. I highly recommend them for chickens, at least!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great Treats - When They're Available!

Obviously every cat is different - some will love it and some will just walk away. One of my cats is very picky about his treats and he adores these, while funny enough, the other is pretty easygoing about treats but isn't a fan of these. I'd give it five stars because of how much my one cat does love them, but I took one away because it's like pulling teeth to actually find these in stock at a store near me. Which is pretty ridiculous considering WholeHearted is actually a PetCo company brand, so they can't even keep their own product in stock at the store. And I'm not dropping $35 word of treats just to get free shipping. Although if the store keeps on being out of stock I might have to just so I have them on hand and don't have to keep checking the store every week!

Yes, I recommend this product.

I feed a bit of this along with freeze dried food to my elderly cat. I adds an additional flavor that encourages her to eat.

If I could give 0 stars I would. None my 3 cat's will even try or give this treat a lick. Not even disguised in food or another treat.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The treats are soft-ish which my 10 y.o. babyboy loves. I only wish they came in larger packs!! They are so much better too than other store brands. I feel good giving him these treats and he has a clock when he asks for them ..love cats

Yes, I recommend this product.

I can’t quite say either way whether I recommend these or not, as my cat took one sniff and refused them. I will say I was disappointed that these felt pretty hard and crunchy to me. Idk why they’re marketed as “soft” because they’re not.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Where are these sourced and manufactured?

  1. Hi Hiway, These are sourced & manufactured in the USA. Thanks,

My cat has no teeth. Are these soft enough for him to eat?

  1. No, I don’t think so. They are soft/firm. I could crumble with form finger pressure, but I think teeth may be necessary.

are these soft enough to hide a small pill in? looking for something smaller (and cheaper) than pill pockets.

  1. Use cheese
