Can this be given to cats also? My cat always tries to steal some. I see the ingredients are only pumpkin and water so I would think so
- Yes. Just make sure there isn't any onion or garlic in the ones you buy and feed to your fluffy. I bought them by mistake and my cats lived the chicken and salmon one. It looked like stew and they loved it. They even ate the pieces of carrots. Lol

Can I use this sparingly rather than every day? My Husky is sometimes picky about his food and I wanted to add this on those days...
- yes, that is just what I used it for, my picky eater. the nights she would not eat I put about a teaspoon mixed in her food. She a dachshund so the portion may need to be adjusted.

Once opened and refrigerated, how long is it good for?
- I've opened a package for one meal and kept the leftover for two or three more days in the frig covered with no issues.

How young can a puppy be to be able to give them this?
- Certainly ask vet..that being said it is very watery and easy to eat or mix with food..it is not heavy on pumpkin

which foods are best for dog with allergies and an enlarged heart
My dog has been on a homemade diet after being diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I have been giving high quality lean protein with white rice & squash along with supplements-Hawthorne berry, CoQ10, ipakitine & vitamin b12. Now that I've reduced the protein even more in his meals, he doesn't seem as interested in eating as he was. Can I add chicken broth? Homemade with just dark chicken meat - no bones as I know they are high in phosphorus or will this addition be too high in protein?
I think I gave my 98lb great Dane/lab mix dog too much pumpkin. She had been having diarrhea for a day with her normal kibble so I switched to canned raw pumpkin and super lean ground turkey for a bland diet. I mixed them about 50/50...I started yesterday and she's had 3 servings, equalling about 1.5 cans of canned pumpkin and 1.5lbs of turkey. DID I GIVE HER TOO MUCH PUMPKIN???? IS SHE GOING TO BE OK??? She seems fine, lively, normal, but now I'm freaking out that I gave her too much??

Hello, I have a 2yr old pitbull/lab mix (I think), she has been healthy but for the last few weeks she seems to have been eating less and less and won't eat her dry dog food unless I sit right next to her and encourage her to eat. This question is for david elezbeth: Is 30-50% carbs an appropriate amount in dog food? I just started my dog on honest kitchen dehydrated dog food and these are the typical range in carbs. Is this to much? Also some reviewers have posted that their dog had more voluminous stool and went more frequently with bits of food still present in the stool. Is this normal? Chloe seems to be doing fine but I am noticing the bits of food in her stool. Is this ok to continue with this food?
Puppy been eating 1/2 his meals (normal meal consists of 1/3 cup kibble) over the last 3 days. Has had high activity including a 4 mile run one day, 2 mile walk another and 5 mile walk today. Been supplementing by placing portion of meal in challenge toy. Shows no signs of behavioral changes and remains very active/playful. Sleeping a bit more...but we expect that d/t his ^ activity. Should we be concerned about anything? Switching the puppy food (purina pro plan chick/rice) to dog food?
Just recused this little guy... very malnourished, just started gaining some weight. He is missing many teeth so eating is a problem, he does he the small bites.
