Cat food for sensitive cats

Nico

My cat has an extremely sensitive stomach which makes for diarrhea and picky eating. After trying many expensive brands and freeze dried cat foods, this is the food we settled on that he would eat and did not upset his stomach. He has been eating this food for 7 years. The probiotics help, as does no corn, no grain, and high protein.

I love this cat food. It has been keeping my long haired cat healthy for a long time. I love that it has probiotics in it as it has made his hair balls a thing of the past. It has also gotten rid of his sensitive stomach. Thank you.

I have great luck with the wet Easy Digest. Is this as good?

  1. I have not used the wet food so I can't compare the two. I am happy with the dry kibble....my cats eat it. There are some advantages of wet food over dry...hydration being the primary one. However, I have found that my cats who eat primarily wet food need their teeth cleaned more often. If your cat(s) will eat the dry kibble and you have the same results as you do with the wet food, then it is just as good. Make sure you have plenty of clean water available. My cats that primarily eat kibble drink a lot more water. I would suggest purchasing a smaller bag to see if your cat(s) will eat it. Larger bags are a better value, but not if your cat(s) won't eat the food.

Did formula change? Kibbles are a lot darker and my cats are having really bad diarrhea issues!

  1. Hi StarB, Good day! There was no formula change. Thanks.

ordered 5 bags of WholeHearted Grain Free Chicken Formula Dry Cat Food, 12 lbs online and I don’t  see the use by best by date on the bags. Where is it? I’ve ordered this product before +still have bag from that batch +the date is clearly printed on back

  1. Left hand side panel mid way up

Why does the photo of the bag show vitamin A analysis, but it's not listed in the ingredients & analysis section of the page? What is the vitamin A content?

Does anyone know the Iodine percentage in this food?

Is there a manufacturing issue? It is not available in any store within 50 miles. Wet or dry (easy digestion)

      1. My local Petco sometimes doesnt have it, and if they do have it, they only have the small bags not the big bags, so I order it directly from Petco and they have the larger bags.

      Is this food being discontinued?

      1. I've not heard anything about it .. I've used it in the past for my cat . I hope not.

The guaranteed analysis on the bag says Crude Fat 18%; Crude Fiber 4%. The GA on Petco website here is Crude Fat 9%; Crude fiber 10%. That's a huge difference between the Fat and Fiber on bag and website. Which is correct??

      1. Petco should answer this!!! no pet owner can explain your mistakes!!!

What is the calorie count per cup on this food?

      1. Hi. Did you get a response yet? I wish I could tell you a solid answer, but ash is not listed for some reason. Perhaos you can use this link for future reference: https://www.pfma.org.uk/cat-calorie-calculator-nrc-method

Need to know the true phosphorus count of this dry cat food. I called many numbers, with no one able to answer. There was an answer to a lady here at: 4.5 but this is an inaccurate number, because the format is like 0.8, 0.84 or 0.49 on all bags never 4.5

      1. Hi Deb Girl, This has 1.4% on an as fed basis. Thanks,
