- It has a lot of ingredients.....yeast is not one of them. We have 2 female Boston's. They eat the dry as well as the wet,,,minced variety.

My dogs seems to have a strong iron odor and I am wondering if it is because I switched to this brand but I am unsure if it was because of the brand before. How long does it usually take for the dogs to over come past dog food if it may have been harmful?
- Hi. My 3 dogs have eaten this food for a while and I never noticed any strong odors. If you are smelling it after urination it may be that...just as with humans... since there are vitamins and minerals in this food that may not have been present in your "bad" food that will cause an odor when excreted. This is not cause for alarm. The length of time to clear harmful or bad food byproducts from your dogs body is going to vary based on the age of your dog, their activity level and the amount of water they drink. I am not an expert but I would say that if you are providing plenty of fresh water and adequate activity that the "mineral" should abate soon...hope this helps.

Does this food help with there skin . My dog has an odor after a few days after his bath. And I was told it was from his dog food .
- I think the quality of the dog food certainly helps but I also give my dogs Aller- Immune Bites, a vitamin supplement. I have a dog with very sensitive skin and used to be smelly. The vitamins help a lot!
