Would this be considered low sodium? My cat was just diagnosed with cardiomyopathy and we need to have her on a low sodium diet
- It contains powdered cellulose which is wood shavings. Approved as a filler except it absorbs vitamins and minerals and carries them out of the body. Shameful!

My senior cat is missing several teeth. She has been eating a dry food with tender pieces. I would like to try this dry food but worry that it will be to hard for her to chew. Is the kibble really hard?

I like the probiotics that this food has, but 18% fat seems really high for a senior cat food? Wouldn't this lead to weight gain?

Cat food for heart health containing taurine
Hi there. I was thinking about switching my cat to a better quality food. I know the first at least 3 ingredients should be chicken, chicken meal etc vs corn or grains. My cat is 20lbs. Vet told me he should be 16lbs & be on a low fat diet. I don't think his purina pro plan weight mgmt is helping anymore. Fat is 12.5% max in that food. But other foods have more fat. I wonder if a grain free diet would help keep him full longer? How many calories/cups a day he should eat? Worried about weightgain

I have a neutered senior cat who wants to eat every time I go into the kitchen. She is becoming overweight, but I do not want to deprive her. She eats sheeba wet food. She lacks dental care, she was adopted from the humane society. She cannot eat dry food due to that or she will begin to regurgitate. The grain free food is not tolerated and she is believed to be 11-16yrs.

Cat diagnosed hyperthyroid. Vet sold us Hills Thyroid. Full of corn and cat allergic to corn. She doesn't know iodine content of other foods. Need high protein, no grain, no fish, good taurine and low salt and iodine below .4. Can't seem to find that info. Bought Merrick Purrfect Bistro Grain Free Chicken which met requirements. But it is dry and 1/3 of it is powder. Have always used Natural Balance but iodine is 2.2. Can you tell me what the iodine/salt content is in a food that will work
She is not eating the Natural chicken and sweet potato cans I ordered. She is almost 14 years old. I have tried most of the Senior diet but the chicken and barley makes her belly bloat. She eats canned but due to several teeth removed cannot eat dry. She is a dachshund of normal weight and good health. She is still an active walker.
