My dog loves this food! Scored an amazing deal 5 bags for 36-40 bucks, and my dogs fur is so shiny and soft with her eating this food mixed with some boiled chicken and veggies chopped on top <3

Quality food my dogs have been on this food for a long time since they brought this brand out I have 3 Shihtzu and a husky no issues at all they don’t over eat on it seem satisfied and healthy with healthy weights and great coats I go back and fourth between the beef and pea grain free and the salmon grain free No issues here!

I bought two bags of whole hearted dog food in Sept of 2024 and both bags had maggots in the food. After sending pictures and email to whole hearted I got no response from the company. Very disappointing and will no longer be buying this food for my dogs. Please always check the bags of food from this company!

I can’t review the whole hearted food on their website so I’ll do it here. 2 years ago I began feeding my dog “whole hearted grain free all stages of life. “I fed according to the directions on the bag for his weight. He began to get rather round around his abdomen and his fur started getting gross and he started drinking way more over the next couple years but I was associating it to his age because he was 12 around that time. Fast forward to 7/28/24 (this year) we were leaving Petco after grooming and my dog had a seizure. I immediately took him to the ER and his Blood sugar was in the 600s! Mind you I only give him natural rawhide treats occasionally like every 2-3 weeks. So he’s not constantly getting treats or over eating because as I said I was giving him what was recommended on the bag. $3000 dollars and multiple vet visits later after having days of cluster seizures he was diagnosed with diabetes. Both of our lives have been completely changed by this. He still has post effects and some cognitive decline since all the seizures and he has to be medicated at the same time every day with insulin and kepra and his blood sugars have to be checked 2+ times a day. I wouldn’t recommend this food at all! Again this review is not about the store or staff because the staff that day definitely came out to the parking lot to help me while he was having a seizure but I wish I could go back in time and not have put him on that food. And no this is not an isolated event, after telling friends and family what was happening one of my friends informed me that she fed her small dogs the same exact food just for small breeds, and her dog has had 3 seizures but she never took her to the vet because they resolved. Once I told her to take her dog in, the vet confirmed her dog was also diabetic and recommended she switch food.

The product is great but it is never in stock. I have been waiting for over a week to order and pickup and they are continually out. Why does the stores not order more if they know the supply is on demand? This happens all the time. Very disappointed in Petco as a store. This is not my first complaint concerning this. Please please carry more in the store or order more.

Had a great laugh with the cashier as my mother told her I put the snoop dog braid hat on her to see if it would look good on our doggo Mr. pickles!

My dogs love Whole Hearted dry dog food. Their coats are shiny, they seem to love the taste and the ingredients are just what we want and expect them to be. Their stools are as they should be and are easy to clean up from the pads we trained them on from birth. Juliet has been my checkout person and she is polite, friendly and efficient as well as helpful for my purchases.
