Terrible Customer Service

Jason B Review

Ordered dog food with discount for first repeat delivery order. Was damaged in transit. Customer service was unable to ship a replacement faster or even for the same price. They wanted me to pay full price AND pay for shipping.

Vet says avoid all grain free food

Bubbles87

Learned from our vet that recent research determined grain-free foods are bad for dog heart health. They actually had to put one down that had heart failure after only 1 year of being on grain free food.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Food Is Making My Dogs Sick

Something is going on with this food. After you stopped producing he lamb, egg and rice formula, we switched to this. It was fine for a while, but it has caused gastric distress in both of my dogs. It was happening with only one of them the last bag and we adjusted her diet, but now it's happening with the other. I'm searching for a better grain-free option with tourine.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I switched my pet over to this food because it was seemingly healthy and more affordable than his other brand. The next day it caused his to vomit and go #2 blood and was lethargic. Had to go to the emergency vet due to this.

No, I do not recommend this product.

How much taurine is actually added to this food? I have 4 smaller breeds with some skin and sensitive stomach issues. I was advised to go grain free with lamb. I am concerned as I don't want them to be susceptible to heart failure.

Has the Lamb & Lentil WholeHearted dog food changed in its formula in the past 4-6 months? My dog has put on 20lbs despite more exercise, and I don't even feed her the full recommendation. Only other change was I went from 25lb to 40lb bag.

    1. Hi JenNala, Good day! No, there have been no changes to this recipe in the past year. Thanks

The ingredients list "natural flavors." Is that code for chicken? My dog is highly allergic to poultry and I need clear listing of ingredients so I can avoid issues.

    1. My boxer is highly allergic to chicken and this is one of the few foods she can eat without issue. Since switching to this brand and flavor, I haven’t had to take her in for an allergy shot in over 4 years.

I have repeat delivery but am having issues finding where I would change the amount and frequent on the website. How would I make those changes?

    1. Go to your account, and click on Repeat Delivery. From here you can click on the product and change amount and delivery dates.

Why do you not sell the Lamb and Lentil in the 14 pound size? All of the other flavors come in this size.

You answered another customer a yr ago that you were going to add taurine to your dry dog foods...has this happened yet? Since this is suspect in DCM, I would hope you are taking this seriously, especially since you changed us to this dogfood

      1. Yes, they have added taurine. I've been feeding this food to my dog and he is thriving. He is 6 years old and plays like a pup. When will taurine be added to the formula?

      1. Hi Adig, All WholeHearted dry dog food now has supplemented taurine and DL-methionine. Thanks,

What countries comprise “globally-sourced” suppliers of ingredients and what is the name of the US company that manufactures the dog food?

      1. Wholehearted

I have a 11 year old cane corso that weighs 94 lbs. with a sensitive stomach, I have been giving her whole hearted lamb & lentil recipe for about a year with no issues, I am looking for what food you would recommend for her since she is 11 years old ?

      1. Hi ALAN 14 We suggest that you contact your vet for advice on this. Thanks,

What is the difference between this one with lamb and lentils and just the Limited Ingredient lamb recipe?

      1. Hi Lueeze, With the WholeHearted Grain Free All Life Stages Lamb and Lentil Formula dry dog food, real lamb is the first ingredient while the WholeHearted Grain Free Limited Ingredient Lamb Recipe dry dog food for All Life Stages and Breeds single source of animal protein as the first ingredient. Thanks
