My kitties love the Whole Hearted Flavorful Flakes! I'm not set on providing only grain free foods for my animals, but I really feel that since grains aren't naturally a part of their diet and kittens require more protein, grains shouldn't be introduced until they are older. The first ingredients in this food are meat and meat broth followed by the fats and other nutrients they need while they are young. The cans are smaller which I prefer so that they don't run the risk of going bad before they can be used and nothing goes to waste. Another thing that I really liked is that it has a lot of liquid making it more like a thick soup consistency. It took a while for my kittens to learn how to drink water. The consistency helped them learn how to use their tongue to lap up their food instead of taking large bites and gave them enough hydration so there wasn't much risk of them becoming constipated while transitiong to solid food. Before trying this food, I had to add water to the other brand of kitten food I was using because of that issue. I really recommend the Whole Hearted Flakes for kittens. It's everything they need and and all you have have to do is open the can!

Not a favorite food for my group. They only seem to like it when I dress it up with freeze dried meat. Though, they are picky, so I can’t really fault the food. The tuna is their least favorite, and I can’t say that I blame them. The pieces look tough and overcooked.

I received this variety pack of kitten food free for my honest review. We have 2 cats (not kittens) who enjoy the occasional wet food treat. Both cats enjoyed all 3 flavors of food in the pack. There was adequate liquid and I would say the food was flakes as packaging states. I would say that this was a product.

I’ve feed a lot of kittens over the years from fostering feral moms and socializing their kittens. So I’ve gone through my fair share of canned kitten food. The first thing I noticed about this kitten food was how thick the pate is. Most of the other brands seem to whip up their recipe with air. But the Wholehearted pate is dense and rich looking. I actually added a little bit of warm water to it because the ones I’m feeding now are young. They licked the plate clean.

I was surprised about the amount of meat/ seafood, usually it’s more gravy/ broth with other cans. My cats didn’t like the chicken very much even though there is a good amount in my opinion but they liked seafood way better.

So I know this is kitten food, however I don't have a kitten. I do however have a beautiful elderly black cat named Violet. She's lost a couple of teeth so this food I thought might be up her alley. Boy was I right! The first day she couldn't wait for me to put her bowl down! I about tripped over her lol She immediately dove in. She loves this stuff! It's been easy on her tummy and her bowl is always empty by the end of the day. Again I know it's for kittens but my old girl really likes it.

My 8 month old kitten loves it. He never turns down wet food. Nothing really spectacular stuck out to me about the product but that he eats it like it’s going out of style. My 11 month old kitten wasn’t too impressed but he never is with any wet food. He prefers dry.

My kitten liked all three flavors, having a variety pack is great to keep kitten excited to eat. The flakes are in gravy and it’s runny right out of the can good for licking. If you refrigerate the food the gravy thickens up so easier to bite the food if your cat prefers that. It’s versatile and a great value, very happy with it.
