I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
I feed my dogs Pure Balance Trout + Lentils (has probitics) mixed with Purina One Beyond Small Bites Lamb and Rice(has the joint support in it as well so that’s nice!) . Can you take a look at the ingredients? They don’t have any grain allergies as they tolerate Cheerios as their training treats but I liked Pure Balances Ingredients and the Purina One has not as well but they eat the food readily with the better brand and plus has free joint supplement in it. Thank you Andrea for answering my question! I also feed my dog Fromm four star canned food which has whole vegetables, beans and potatoes. The canned food is about 30-35% of her diet. Do I need to be mashing the whole plant matter with a fork to insure she's digesting it or will this not make any difference? Is a pate canned food more easily absorbed? is 10-15% of the diet being extras ok, or is less better? What do you recommend feeding as treats?
We have stopped using canned dog food and now make a fresh mixture of peas, beans, carrots and sweet potatoes mixed with ground turkey, beef OR chicken. We would like to stop feeding them dry food all together. Can we do this and if so should we give them a doggie vitamin? we have a 3yr GS, 8yr GSP and 10 yr lab mix. thank you
My dog is a picky eater and she's currently getting wet and dry food. What homemade foods could I add with it to give it more flavor? I'd switch can food flavors, but Royal Canin doesn't offer a lot of flavors. Thanks!
I’m confused about dog food! Grain, no grain? Vegetables? I’ll buy what’s expensive, and then read something that says I’m wasting money! We have been using Royal Canin and Iam’s...our 65lb. Golden doodle has rather eclectic tastes and gets tired of the same old, same old. She will be three in June. Help!

My pup currently eats the costco kirkland adult dog chicken, vegetable, and rice (pinkish bag on their site). However, time to time she eats grass outside or doesn't eat her food. I sometimes I add nutritional yeast and/or wheat grass powder to her food for nutrients. Is this good for her? Should I switch to one of the other pictures attached? If so, which one? Thank you!
