Our kitty loves Wholehearted Chicken and Beef Liver Recipe! We felt good about serving this to our guy with the healthful ingredients, extra nutrients, no artificial colors/flavors, and no corn, wheat or grains. While our kitty is a little younger than a senior, he can experience sensitivities with some foods. We tried this to see if it could be a better option for him. For us, we like the easy to open can, healthfulness, and seeing our cat enjoy his meal. For our cat, he finished his entire meal, was very content, and had no negative reactions whatsoever. Good stuff all around! I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

I like that the first 3 ingredients are all named meats and most importantly my very picky cat likes it. She only likes pates and originally walked away from the bowl when I first put it down but when I came back later it was all gone! So will certainly continue to keep this in her rotation. It is a slightly drier pate than most other pates I purchase so it's a little harder to get out of the can but I always add extra hydration to my cats food.

Our cat hates fish (and our dog hates peanut butter, go figure) and loves really wet pate food as her main food - she gets a small bowl of crunchy food to snack on too. She L-O-V-E-S this food so much it's ridiculous. The only downside is it is not a very wet pate. She'll eat a lot more of it than she normally would of a drier food, but it's just not right for her. The solution I've found is to mix a half can of this and a half can of her normal food (Weruva) and add a few drops of water. Even that leaves patches in the bottom and sides of her bowl, but it works enough for her to eat most of it. If this were a wetter food I'd give it five plus stars.

I'm amazed, my fussy cat loves WholeHearted. This is the 2nd flavor we have tried. She loved the WholeHearted Grain Free Chicken and Beef Liver Senior Recipe. As with the others, I had to add a small amount of water for her. This is huge for us, because she usually refuses to eat canned food. We will be trying the dry food too.

I got this and another food from wholehearted to offer to underweight barn cats at the facility where I board my horses. I like that the cans are small and have pull tabs because I can never find my can opener at the ranch. It came out easily from the can and the cats ate it. I like knowing they get some quality food when I'm there. And yes, the barn owner knows and approves of me doing this.

My senior tabby cat is usually very picky when it comes to wet food. Being a gravy lover he likes to just lick up the gravy and leave all the solid food. I was pleasantly surprised when he actually ate most if not all of the pate of this wholehearted beef and chicken senior cat canned wet food.

Now that my cats are getting up in age I wanted to introduce a food formulated for the specific needs of an aging body into their diet. I loved that this pate included glucosamine and omega fatty acids and that the ingredient list contained high quality foods and no animal by-products or meals. The only drawback is that my cats were not the biggest fan of the taste. As time went on, they actually wanted to eat less of this chicken-based pate. This is unfortunate as I think they really could have benefited from this food in the long run.

Our kitty adores the Wholehearted Chicken & Beef Recipe cat food :3 He came running when I opened the can, and eagerly lapped up as much of it as I let him have when I set it down for him. He is not used to having canned food (he usually only gets kibble), so this is a very special treat. I think that its being grain-free is a plus, since cats are obligate carnivores. The cat food smelled fresh and nice, and was in easy-to-pull-off pieces for our kitty. We give this product five stars.
