My 5, 6, and 12-year-old dogs have been on this food for the last several months. I can honestly say they are acting happier and healthier than ever before. My 12-year-old is like a puppy again! Their coats look shiny and their overall health just seems great. They love the food and the taste. We have been on the hunt for the best fish canned dog food for several years. This has been their favorite canned food that we have found!

I have a very picky eater and as soon as I cracked the can he was at my feet which is very rare. I wasn’t sure what to expect but he LOVED it. I think he would have eaten another can if I had offered it. Definitely 5 star approved for picky eaters

I am very picky on what i feed my dogs, but i did use this product as a treat for them. Both of them went absolutely crazy for it! They loved it. They even know what the can looks like, and when they see it, they rush to their bowls and wait for it. The ingredients seem to be in line with what they are currently on, and so far, i have not seen any side effects. Our one dog has a very sensitive stomach and allergies, so to see him eat food without a reaction was such a relief. I will be buying again!

I have to buy salmon food because my dog has food allergies and she really likes this one. I mix it with cooked minute rice to get more meals out of each can.

I'm going to start off by saying that I was very skeptical of can dog food because my Ace loves his hard kibble and is a very picky eater. But let me tell you Ace loooooooved The Whole Hearted Active performance Whitefish and Salmon Recipe. Ace is a large breed dog and I thought one can would be good enough for him. I could not have been more wrong. I don't know what dog food tastes like but it was amazing to Ace because he licked his bowl completely clean and bumped into the wall. I ultimately ended up giving him a second can. I also tried to mix Ace's kibble with The Whole Hearted and he spit the kibble onto the floor. As a pet parent I love that Whole Hearted dog food is made with good quality ingredients, It's affordable, and that my Ace loves it. If you are looking for quality food for your dog, don't walk run to Petco and get you some Whole Hearted Ace and I recommend it!

4/4 dogs approved of this food! Seems to be a good alternative for my dog with a chicken allergy as well which is amazing because her food is impossible to find! Add the easy to open cans and it makes it a definitely purchase again item!

My dog loves it!! I use it as a topper for her dry food, or give her a small dish of WholeHearted as a treat. It smells more akin to human-grade canned fish than canned dog food, even though turkey is listed the first ingredient. Nice uniform texture, not too finely ground. The cans are thick, sturdy, and unlikely to dent! The easy open tabs work very well. The case of 12 cans was securely shrink wrapped into its thick cardboard tray. The fish smell does linger on her breath for a day or 2, but since she's not a licker, I don't mind. After openening, I dump the remainder of the can into a tupperware and it lasts a week in the fridge. It doesn't smell through the container! The aesthetics of the label are classy, while still being cute and modern. A can of this would make a great stocking stuffer for your favorite dog or dog-parent!
