Our dog seemed to like this food, but she loves to eat everything. we use a slow feeder bowl so this did get messy. We will continue with kibble, but this could be a good treat every now and then or for travel.

Our chihuahuas all liked the food, but we didn't notice them prefer it over their regular Wholehearted food. We didn't notice any real difference in their activity either there being more of it or it being easier for them to do. I strongly suspect our dogs are just lazy though.

Good Wet Food for Licky Mats

I got this to use as a spread for my dogs licky mats. Most wet foods fall on two sides of the wet food consistency spectrum - gravy based stews and harder pâtes - neither of which spread very well on licky mats. This food is a nice middle ground. More moisture and spreadable than a pâté, but not too loose that it runs all over the mat. I can get about two and a half days worth out of one can. Dog approved, too!

The only way to judge this food is by how quickly my dogs ate it. And quickly they did! It was tough to get a good picture because they were scarfing it down so quickly. By the time I got my camera ready the food was nearly gone. After a few attempts I got a couple “ok” pics, but trust me…this food was very much enjoyed!
