Questions
Should I go with the cockatiel mix if I have smaller parrots such as a lovebird?
- The bag I got the seeds were pretty small. I would say it would be fine except there are small pellets that I don't know if a love bird can bite into. They weren't super hard so it probably would be ok.

I have a 22 year old Timneh African Grey parrot. I have used Harrison's pellets medium size in the past. It has been discontinued. My parrot won't eat the fine size and drops the large size into water. I need suggestions of what else to use.

Is there a good high calorie supplement, vitamin or food that I can offer my seed junkie parakeet? She scored a poor body condition, was described as thin at her exam. Currently taking Metacam for an ouchy foot.
I have 2 parakeets and I have been feeding them seeds and millet. I believe that what I am currently feeding them is not nutritious. My cockatiel has been eating Leferber’s Premium Daily Diet pellets as a staple diet. She’s also been eating broccoli everyday. I also give her a bit of crushed eggshells once or twice a week. She has a cuttlebone available at all times. I’m wondering if this would be an okay product to give her? She isn’t much of a veggie eater. Will this be beneficial or unnecessary for her? Lately, I have observed some undigested seeds in my budgie droppings. Not all droppings are the same, most of them are normal in my opinion, but some of them contain 1-2 seeds. I wasn't able to get him to eat anything else but seeds. I bought complete food, but he selects only the seeds. He doesn't eat fruits, vegetables, egg. I also tried to give him charcoal and grit, but he doesn't try them. Is it ok to remove the seeds for several hours and provide only vegetables/fruits? Thank you!

Last Saturday added a male plucked Eclectus Parrot to our adult senior home. Vet exam scheduled for July 30th. He's bonded immediately, eating apples, grapes, Dr Foster/Smith mixed seeds but bobs- coughs up whole seed, apple, etc. His droppings are frequent as white cream mixed with green stool. Eclectus pellets, Eclectus mix seeds due by Wed- Friday. Will he die throwing up whole seeds, fresh fruit, eggs, noodles, etc if making small firm poop ?
Griffon was a 4 yr old Scarlett chested parrot that suddenly passed away in the night. Findings by pathologist in a necropsy was renal gout.Excess protein or calcium can cause it. He and the cage mate are on Mazuri small bird diet and chop (veggies,grains, and Higgins vita seed mixed together). One cup of the seed is mixed with about 8 cups of veggies. Does this diet sound appropriate or is something adding in too much of the previous listed vitamins.
