This product is lacking in nutritional value and smells like wet dog. I've never had a food make my bird lethargic and ornery. My quaker parrot also had seizures which was linked to this diet. I hope you think thrice before buying this for your animals. Get Higgins brand instead

My African Gray loves this bird food. I was so glad to find it because other foods she would just throw out of her cage. One of your staff members was very helpful in getting me a discount to match your own prices online..

Infested with bugs. More for small to medium birds

I'm not rating the food itself lower because of the moth/worm/webbing infestation because that is probably Petco storing it wrong. But I am not pleased with how it looked otherwise as I poured it into the trash. It was some smaller sunflower seed and yellow pellets with some millet chunks, but mostly very very small seeds and grains. I've got green cheek to cockatoo and I know the bigger birds (my amazon, cockatoo, eclectus) would be too big for this. It's more for small to medium sized birds (parakeet, cockatiel, conure, Senegal, etc). Which is a shame because they sell a smaller version. I was hoping to see more large bird food since it's for parrots. It did look like if it weren't infested with bugs, my green cheek and Senegal would have enjoyed it. Smelled like turmeric, which might have been nice since I have some senior birds who probably would have benefited from the anti inflammatory effects.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I received this 2 days before opening bag. Could not feed this to my bird, it was full of webs and live beetles.

All 9 of my parrots absolutely love it!

I bought a package of this to try with my variety of parrots: Cockatiels, conures, white bellied caique, and ringneck. They absolutely loved this product. Being picky eaters, it has been difficult to find something that even a few enjoy together. I will be adding this and the cockatiel variety to my subscribe and save.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My Ringneck loves this food. My cockatiel and love birds eat the cockatiel version. They eat almost all the pieces in the food.

Best food for my conure

Since I found this food I’ve stopped buying the other brand that I bought for years for my conure. It’s more expensive but very little waste. And my conure loves it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Should I go with the cockatiel mix if I have smaller parrots such as a lovebird?

  1. The bag I got the seeds were pretty small. I would say it would be fine except there are small pellets that I don't know if a love bird can bite into. They weren't super hard so it probably would be ok.
