This food is not complete and balanced and should not be fed as the only meal to cats on an everyday basis. Consult your veterinarian about how to fit this food into your cat's diet. Feed according to the age, size and activity level of your cat. If fed alone, feed 1 oz for each pound of body weight daily, best fed in multiple feedings throughout the day. Sr. cat with stage 2 renal failure. She struggles with constipation, inadequate water drinking, arthritis, toothless, cataracts, and deafnesss. She is on Royal Canin kidney recipe as the most tolerable of choices to-date (really didn't care for Hill Science version). Have been mixing with fancy feast kitty or adult pate, laxative and Cosequin. Recently found Delectables bisques to add instead of fancy feast. She seems to like well & I can add water, upping her intake. Ash content concern.
Best low-carb wet food for cats?
I have a 9 1/2 yr old male cat with history of urinary crystaled blockage about 5 yrs ago. He used to be on royal canin urinary s/o wet and dry diet, but he is currently only on grain free dry food. What are your thoughts and advice/recommendation on best wet food brands with this condition? He does not have a prescription anymore and I want him to live the longest life he can without blocking again. Any info helps! Thank you, Tara
