Best low-carb wet food for cats?
I am trying to help a 13-year-old cat put on weight. He has never liked wet food but I remember helping an older cat with health problems to get some calories by feeding A/D wet food. Is there a similar super palatable food that is not vet prescribed that I might try? My cat's health is good. Recent blood work by my vet showed not problems at all. Thanks.

My vet is having tony try to transition to a kidney diet but whether it’s his kidney food or his senior diet he tends to lick the pate rather than pick it up in chunks and once he’s licked too much of it he no longer wants it and I have to start a fresh bowl..and we repeat the process. My male cat is almost 14. I know he is starting kidney problems due to the extra water he drinks at this point. and a bit thinner. lots of energy still. I read they need at least 50% protein, I give him wet and dry which i know is not good, but lots of wet and freeze dried chicken too, vit with dig enzymes. My cat is a 1&1/2, he started out throwing up the dry food, so I switch him to fancy feast salmon patted. So long period of time he would only throw up like twice a month maybe, I recently switched to 9 lives patted and he was fine for 2 weeks, now today he has throw up 3 times, in other words every time he has eaten. He is not spayed as of yet. Please help, I really don't have the money for taking him in to vet for them to run a lot of expensive tests.

My cat was diagnosed with kidney failure and has gastrointestinal problems. We are trying to change the diet to one that would be fitting, such as Renal both wet and dry from Royal Canine and Gastrointestinal from Royal Canine, these are the only foods available in my area for these two diseases. But my cat doesn't want to eat at all. Would it be possible to add to his diet a bit of chicken meat at least once a day or mixed with the wet food?
