Heidi and Ginger love the low salt chicken broth over their Diamond Naturals dog food. It doesn't take much to soften their food. I understand Chihuahuas need to have food down more often than large dogs. Will twice a day for both dogs not to exceed the number of suggested calories for Ginger be sufficient? I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
