Why do cat food companies insist on putting peas and chunks of veggies in canned cat food ? Cats don’t eat veggies. I have four cats and every bowl is cleaned except for the veggies left in the bowls-don’t know how they do it
- Pumpkin is good for cats digestion, and peas are used in some veterinary diets so I don't think they're always detrimental but I totally agree that they're unappetising in this form - my cats won't eat whole peas and always leave them behind too.

I brought my cat (4 YO black American short hair) to the vet a few months ago after she was scooting frequently and her glands were released. Both my cats are on nature variety salomn instinct wet and tsp of firm up pumpkin powder. My female cat had anal gland issues in the past but has been issue free for about two years. But my male cat had diaherra in the past and now suffers from occasional constipation. He had a BM two days ago and ate his full meal last night but he is disinterested in eating his morning meal today which is odd and I found no BM this morning. Is the daily pumpkin pwder causing occasional constipation?

My cat has been on nature variety pride flaked tuna cat food cans for a while and he loves it. Recently I have been treating him with a little orijen chicken formula kibbles here and there then yesterday and today he has been having diaherra, I am guess it is the orijen? He has no other symptom but that, would total-botic probotic for cats given daily help his diaherra? Would pumpkin too? As dental treats I give him virbac treats but I am switching to plaque off hard dental treats.
