Great product for elderly King Charles dogs with weight issues

my 14 year-old Italian Greyhound has been eating Wellness for many years, and this food in particular for the last couple years. he loves it. he doesn't have many teeth these days, but can still easily eat this. plus our vet says he's in great shape for his age so the food is obviously helping him stay healthy!

one of the only kibbles my senior pom will eat regularly. he is very picky and particular about kibble size, classic small dog behavior. but i wanted to keep a kibble available to him to graze from when he wants it instead of worrying about freshness of wet/raw food since he frequently does not eat on schedule. i had looked into wellness brand before for my cats, but was unfamiliar with their dog products. there are so few formulations for small breed, and so few formulations for seniors.. i knew that this small breed senior kibble was a unicorn.. i was prepared for my pup to turn his nose up when i tried mixing this in with the last rejected food brand i had tried.. but lo and behold, my pom picked out the wellness kibbles to eat over the last trialed food. it’s now been a few years and my pom still happily eats his senior small breed wellness food. i know he is getting the specific nutrients for a lil old guy and even though he’s gotten greyer around the muzzle he still has pep in his step and excitement when i scoop his food into his bowl.

My little 17 year old chihuahua loves this food. This is the only dry food that she rarely ever skips... others she would always skip a day and eat the next day. She cleans her bowl every night, and eats it when I let her do a little nose work and scatter some across the floor.

I bought this for my 10y/o shihtzu and chihuahua hoping to give a better health. It’s being a week or two since we started the transition from beneful to fully changing it to this one and my shihtzu just had explosive diarrhea yesterday and today really grainy and smelly. The chihuahua is actually reacting well to it. I’m turned to what to do in this situation

It's really disappointing that you only have 4 pound bags available for small breed senior dogs. My dogs are 12 years old and have thrived on Wellness their whole lives. I will have to switch to another brand because you don't offer larger bags for small breed seniors.

....to find a larger bag also! After reading all these reviews that are years old, I see there STILL isn't a larger bag. I have 3 small dogs, 2 of which are eating senior food, and the 3rd will in a few years as well. Honestly, it's a shame a company like this doesn't listen to their customers. I also wanted to add that I also believe that something has changed in the food in the past 6 months-ish, as my dogs are no longer interested (all three!) in eating this food plain. I know that sometimes dogs get bored with food, but they've been on this for almost their entire lives (and have been SO healthy and active!), but now to try to get them to eat their food is a whole production and a struggle. They still have an appetite, but it's interesting how they now sniff and turn their noses and back away from their food. I could see 1 doing this; maybe even 2...just from getting tired of the food, but all 3 at the same time? It's unfortunate, but I think the combination of consistently never being able to find a larger bag and all three dogs turning away from their Wellness food, I think it's finally time to switch brands. And this makes me so sad. I've trusted Wellness for SO long.

I have two senior Yorkies, one of which has no teeth, and I’ve been feeding them three senior small breed food which they both seem to love. My complaint is that this food is only available in 4lb bags so I have to pay $22 for this while you have other foods in much larger bags and obviously buying in bulk you get to save money. I’m really not sure if I can continue to pay these prices for such a small bag and may be forced to switch brands. Please consider making bigger bags available at a reasonable price.
