Chalky smell

fizzler

I'm wondering if I received a bad batch because it has kind of an offputting chalky smell and a chalky look to it (light in color than any other food we've tried). My lab eats anything though and he hasn't had any issues from it. But I feel bad feeding this to him with the weird smell.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Unknown quality, slow shipping.

Two stars only because after 7 days I still have yet to get the food- can't speak to the quality because I haven't gotten the product yet. Ordered another bag from a competitor, we'll see which one gets here first.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Great for Allergies!

NorCal Sam

I ordered this food because it has no allergens for my Dalmatian. It is also low protein which Dals also need to avoid kidney issues. I was a little concerned that my dogs wouldn't like it but I was pleasantly surprised to find that they all preferred it to their previous food. Best of all, my Dal has had her allergy symptoms alleviated by switching to this food! Small note: yes it does have a strange smell and that was a concern because I free feed my dogs but the smell quickly fades once out in the open.

The only food that worked! saved our dog!!!

Boston terrier owners

After tons of research and trials without success including custom paid for nutritionist recipes with home made human food, Wellness duck and oatmeal dry food finally worked! This food literally saved our Dog with inflammatory bowel who was losing weight since couldn’t keep anything in him. It’s very mild with healthy, basic, reliable ingredients. Although we would spend a high price for our dogs, No matter what it takes to keep them healthy, this food is also comparatively economical vs. hydrolyzed foods.

Thanks for the great review! We're very happy to hear your dog is doing so well on our Simple recipe.

No more hot spots or ear infections.

My 8 year old black had hot spots and chronic ear infections. The vet said it was allergies. I tried all kinds of dog foods, even make the dog food myself for about a year. That helped a lot but the symptoms did not completely go away and making the food took time. I looked for a dog food without chicken ( that seems to be a problem) and with no grains and limited additives. Wellness Simple filled the bill. No more hot spots and no ear infections. And my dog likes it. IF your dog has allergies I would recommend this product.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a chow chow with horrible allergies to grain, chicken, and soy. He’s also super picky when it comes to food and treats. Finding food he will actually EAT and not hide under my washer and dryer has been a challenge. He loves the wellness duck n oatmeal dog food! I love the Wellness brand because I can trust the products not to cause my dog skin and digestive upsets. They’re a great value and a sure thing with picky eaters such as my dog.

This is one of my favorite doggies and theirs too, it is expensive and I have a hard time giving this option permanently, however it is worth the investment for the results we see in your hair, your feces, your energy and your appetite
