Where's the Gravy?

PearlCat

This is supposed to be the 'Gravies' recipe, and the description on the can is 'bits in ample gravy', but it is very dry. My cat won't eat it. The turkey recipe is fine. What went wrong with the chicken?

No, I do not recommend this product.

Different formula: my cat rejected it

RIvanova

What a disappointment. The new Thailand manufactured formula is a disaster. My cat does not even want to touch it. And she used to love Wellness Chicken Gravies. It was her favorite. The product currently for sale is not made in the U.S. as before, but in Thailand. The can is slightly bulkier (same 3 oz quantity inside, though) and silver, not gold colored as with the US made. And obviously the recipe is not the same. You cannot cheat a cat. I am ready to pay a premium for cat food that was made in the US and that my cat likes. But this version is a total waste. I just went to the store and purchased one can of another variety that my cat loved - Wellness chicken minced. It is again made in Thailand in the silver cans. I will offer it but I fear that my cat will reject it too. Wellness, please bring back the manufacturing to the U.S. We pet parents are ready to pay more as long as our finicky friends enjoy the food.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Hi RIvanova, we're sorry to hear your cats are not liking this batch of Gravies Chicken recipe. Due to being at capacity with our manufacturer, we did add some additional manufacturing sites to help produce our Minced and Gravies recipes. These recipes are now being made at three different facilities, two in the US and one in Thailand. This was in order to keep a steady supply in stock and avoid shortages, which we experienced in the past year. While the recipe didn’t change, the product can vary due to process variables. We would like the opportunity to talk with you to review our guarantee and answer any questions you may have. Please reach out to our Consumer Affairs team and refer to case# 802850. Can you tell me what the carbohydrate percentage is for the grain free - adult wet cat food? Thank you.

 1. Hi foxtroter, the carbohydrate percentage will vary between recipes. For the Gravies Grain Free Chicken recipe the carbohydrate value is 2.94% on an As Fed Basis. You can find carbohydrate values on our website for each recipe or email us at info@wellnesspet.com and we would be happy to send you a list.

Do you have a gravy and meat such as turkey /fish/ etc that my adult cat and kitten can both eat? The adult just wants the gravy and the kitten just wants the meat! Kitten is 6 months and adult is 5- Both indoor only

 1. I only have one cat - 18 years old and he loves the gravy and eats it first. Then he eats most the meat. I know he is doing well on the Wellness Gravy in both chicken and fish.

How much ash is in this?

 1. I do not know how much ash is in it. I however stopped using all Wellness food (dog &cat, wet & dry) because my animals started turning their noses up at it and the quality went way down. One of my animals even was sick until I switched. I recommend finding another all natural food.
