Huge Kibbles; Too Difficult to Eat

FancyPants2

I had high hopes for this food, as it contained the highest quality ingredients that I could find in a dry puppy food, including high-quality grains and no legumes. However, the kibbles are enormous. My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy is 11 weeks old and about 6 lbs, and she doesn't like this food because it's too difficult for her to eat. She has to pick up a single kibble at a time and then trots away to lay down with it as if she's working on a bone. Her previous food was Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy, which I loathe the ingredients of, but at least that food had a nice, small-sized kibble that was easy for a small puppy to eat. I don't think I can continue feeding this food, as my girl is only eating 1/4 of what she should be consuming at this stage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Awesome, Healthy & wholesome puppy food!!

Our German shepherd pup has been absolutely thriving since switching to this food. She’s about 10 weeks and gobbles it down! High-protein, quality fats are needed for her breed. It meets all her needs and fits our standards. Happy knowing we’re not giving her anything that isn’t beneficial for her growth & development. Of course not all dogs are the same so some may not like it, just like humans. This GSD pup owner is very satisfied!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dog seemed to really like this food. The food we were giving her before would stay in her bowl for hours. The Wellness Core Puppy with Wholesome Grains dog food would be gone in 15 minutes. I think its a winner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Unfortunately my dog is not longer a puppy so this food was not useful to us. I have heard great things about the brand though. We have a Samoyed, a medium sized dog. I dont think so since I wasnt able to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I gave my dogs this food first by mixing it in with their previous food then on its own. They seemed to really like it. They didnt have any negative effects from it or from switching the food. They were not hesitant and gobbled it right up.
