BEST DOG FOOD FOR LOSEING WEIGHT
Have a question on what dog dry food you would recommend? Wellness core ? Wellness complete health ? Blue wilderness high protein grain free ? Taste of the wild ?
My (very tall and muscular!!) Miniature Schnauzer needs to lose about 3 pounds. Prescription Royal Canin didn't carry enough sustanance for him, so he was constantly hungry. I got him on ProPlan weight control kibble, but I'm always concerned with his micronutrients. He got a bought of pancreatitis once, so crude fat must be low. How do you feel about these fresh dog foods? Better than kibble? Or not, so due to the moisture percentage?
My dog has been on a grain free soy free and chicken free food for about 8 months, He is 3 and has been gaining weight. He eats about 1/2 can of food twice a day and maybe a handful of dry food in between. He is never been a very active dog. He is part beagle and part chihuahua. He does have mostly a beagle body Short legs and long body Other than weight, he is healthy. What type of dog food would he need to lose weight
My dogs were on Royal Canin Low Fat GI food for a while but the vet said I could try switching them to Wellness Core Reduced Fat since they didn't seem to find RC very appetizing. They've been doing well on the new food but their poop is a lot more smelly now. Is this normal?
What brand of natural dog food is high in protein but not high in price? Also should you feed your dog grain-free food? My dog is currently on Wellness Core but it is a little pricey. Can you recommend anything similar but not as expensive
trying for 3rd time. My cat needs IBS/IBD diet. Low fat high fiber. I like Wellness and Blue but they have too much fat. Can you recommend a low fat mature canned cat food? Could I also add organic oat flour? I have 4 cats, aged 10+ years. Thank you.
My 10 yr old lab lost 6 lbs when taken off dry food. He gets homecooked. Alternating between lean ground beef, turkey, white meat chicken. Veggies Sweet potatoes, yellow squash, green beans. He was a perfect weight. Elimating 1 cup of dry food per day added to homecooked was meant to be a healthy choice not for weight loss. Vet wants him to put the weight back. What can I add in, read that organic brown rice and Quinoa is not good daily and high in Phosphorus. Suggestions thx
We are trying to get my dog to lose weight and they have recommended science hill, what type of their food would be better? Light, perfect weight or is there any other? A lot of fat we would like to burn! TIA
Best inexpensive boxer dry dog food
My pug needs to lose a bit of weight. In conjunction with exercise, i have him on a grain free dry food and feed him boiled chicken once per evening. Is this a healthy and appropriate meal to help with weight management?
My Labrador is on a grain free diet because he has extremely dry skin. He used to scratch all the time until I switched him to grain free. But now, he’s gaining weight because of all the protein in grain free food. Is there a grain free/hypoallergenic food that I could try that has a low amount of protein to help him not gain so much weight. I’ve had to cut back on his feeding tremendously because of the gain and now he’s acting starved. We need to switch foods
