BEST DOG FOOD FOR LOSEING WEIGHT
Is it normal for a dog to poop ~4 times per day? I feed him 4 oz Wellness Core grain-free canned food twice a day, so it isn't cheap food. Per vet he needs to gain weight (he was a stray and VERY skinny) so I wonder if maybe it's because of the extra food? His poops are small, dark, and firm.
Have a question on what dog dry food you would recommend? Wellness core ? Wellness complete health ? Blue wilderness high protein grain free ? Taste of the wild ?
My dog has been on a grain free soy free and chicken free food for about 8 months, He is 3 and has been gaining weight. He eats about 1/2 can of food twice a day and maybe a handful of dry food in between. He is never been a very active dog. He is part beagle and part chihuahua. Eats core wellness grain free ocean formula because of unknown allergy (licks her paws all the time). Finished a 26 lbs bag already but zero difference. Is grain free the way to go for an “obese” dog? My Tasha weighs about 16 pounds,I give her wet food in the am and the pm as well as dry in the bowl at all times,she is getting very chubby,I don’t want her to go hungry but I know she is overweight,please tell me an ideal amount of food for her to eat!
My Chiweenie is overweight (31 lbs). The vet says he should be no more than 22-24 lbs. My dog weighs 25.3lb, which I think is a bit overweight for her size.
