- The package shows recommended feeding guide based on the weight of your pet, but not calories. Feed according to what the pet SHOULD weigh, but if pet is overweight OR underweight, you ABSOLUTELY MUST consult with the vet. Extremely important pets are not malnourished whether underweight or overweight.
