Wellness Canned Dog Food is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for maintenance. We understand that every dog is different and optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, activity level and environment. To transition, gradually mix in the new food over a 5-7 day period, increasing the amount of Wellness each day, so that you are feeding 100% Wellness by day 7. Keep a clean bowl of fresh water available at all times. Wellness believes in feeding dry and wet food in combination whenever possible to help increase the level of water in your dog's diet. If feeding with wet food, reduce dry amount by 1/3 cup for every 6 oz. of wet food. Adult: Feed one can (12.5 oz.) for every 15 lbs. of body weight.

We used to buy Wellness all the time, but quit because there were so many damaged cans. Apparently this has not changed, as we received our order with damaged cans. This seems to be a problem with handling of canned pet food at Petco.

Has a strong odor - one dog doesn't like it

I was feeding regular pate Wellness food mixed with dry food but both my little dogs are older now...so I switched to the Wellness senior wet food. There is only one flavor and my Yorkie now has to be cajoled into eating. It also has a strong smell that lingers and is not pleasant. We will be switching to a Senior wet food that is chicken based.
