I have two cats! One of them is a young kitten :) i have been feeding my cats only wellness brand and their coats are shiny, teeth are perfect. I haven’t observed any health issues. I would recommend this to every cat owner. It is a tad expensive, but I would rather pay a few extra dollars to keep my kitties happy and healthy.

The perfect combination of price and quality.

We got our kittens at 9 weeks and started them on this Wellness wet food right away, combined with Instinct dry kitten formula. We have recently switched them from 3 meals a day to two, and that made that transition cleanly. I also pour a little Swansons no-salt chicken broth on their meal and they love the broth too. It is so low in sodium as to have almost none, and it non-GMO, and a quart usually costs only $2-3 and lasts for weeks with them. They seem to love the combination and nearly always empty their bowls. We do not free feed them but feed them measured portions each meal, which only takes seconds longer to do. Both our kittens are now almost 6 months old and are silky soft, bright-eyed, very strong and athletic, and very loving. Unless they develop a dislike, I will transition them to the full-grown cat versions of these products.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My kitten is about 17 weeks and about 3.5 pounds. i give him 1 can morning and night but I feel like he could eat more. Any advice.

  1. Hi Sheila25, for young kittens we recommend feeding 3-4 meals per day. If you are feeding the 3 oz. cans you can feed up to 3/4 of a can for every pound of body weight. If you are feeding the 5.5 oz. can you can feed up to 1/2 can for every pound of body weight. If you have further questions, please reach out to our Consumer Affairs team. We’re available at 800-225-0904 M-F | 8-5 ET, or email info@wellnesspet.com.

It's says 3/4 can per body weight a day. I also feed my kitten dry food but 1 can alone is a good amount of kcal for her from what I'm told...Im worried about over feeding her giving her what implies to be 4 cans a day for how big she is(? Please advise..

  1. If she's at least 3 pounds a can a day is fine. If she is 2 pounds or less, she was weened too early, and should still be bottle fed, introduce can food slowly. Kittens actually need to eat more as they are growing.
