Extra dry and flaky kibbles

Dave69

Our dogs love the food but lately our one mini golden doodle has been licking his paws and burping a lot after eating. The kibbles from our last 2 bags we received have been flaky and a lot of powder inside the bag.

Terrible product

Bs Bot

I switched my chihuahua to this brand hoping to give him good nutrition and keep his weight down. After two months, he developed 8 kidney stones all through his bladder, and started peeing blood. Now he needs surgery. The Emergency Vet I had to take him to because he was getting sick told me this brand is not science based for dogs and is what caused this problem. I'm furious and angry with myself for thinking I was taking good care of my dog, and now he is suffering.

Wellness Complete Health, Healthy Weight, Chicken

MaxinesMom

My 10 1/2 year old Australian Cattle Dog has been eating Wellness Complete Health dry dog food from the time she was one or two years old and has been in excellent health, I believe partially because of the food she was eating. She has never had any issues while on Wellness, Complete Health, Healthy Weight; i.e. refusing to eat, throwing up, diarrhea, or constipation. Now that she is older, I will be transitioning her to the Wellness Complete Health Senior formula as I feel I can trust the quality of the food. I would highly recommend this product to any dog parent.

Our Vet suggested that we started feeding our dog food with grains in it and indicated that the Wellness brand is of good quality. The dog seems to enjoy the food and she can be finicky. Thanks to all the Petco employees for providing online service during this time of social distancing.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I have a dog with skin allergies. This dog food has been great and much worth the higher price. Two vets have remarked how great her coat is!

Helps maintain healthy weight

My dogs love this food. They both tend to be in the "chunky" side so knowing this food helps them maintain a better weight is great! We portion it so they get enough protein but not a lot of fat.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This says the "not less than" for the fat amount, but not "not more than". What is max fat on this? It would be nice if it would say both.

  1. Hi Athena F, the fat value for our Complete Health Healthy Weight recipe is 11.47% on an As Fed Basis, 12.47% on a Dry Matter Basis, 33.44 grams/1000kcal, and 13.53 grams/8 oz. cup. If you have further questions, please reach out to our Consumer Affairs team. Weโ€™re available at 800-225-0904 M-F | 8-5 ET, or email info@wellnesspet.com.

i am trying to buy 26 lbs but when i go to check out , it says 13 lbs for same price as the 26 lbs . why

  1. If she ordered two of the 13 pound it was still be 26 pounds why canโ€™t you send her 13 pounds of dog food and then another 13 pounds of dog food and thatโ€™ll equal 26 pounds

Am I missing something here-why in the world is the caloric content of a weight-loss food not stated anywhere?

  1. 325 calories per cup

Which dry and canned best. Prefer natural, limited ingredients.

  1. It may be a little difficult, but not an impossible task to find the right food: Canned: Dogswell Happy Hips Stew Lamb & Sweet Potato (SKU: 1292340) Dogswell Happy Hips Stew Duck & Sweet Potato (SKU: 1292358) Wellness Turkey & Duck Stew (SKU: 334324) Wellness Beef Stew (SKU: 334316) Wellness Chicken Stew (SKU: 334308) Natural Balance L.I.D. Bison & Sweet Potato (SKU: 363103) Dry: Wellness Super5Mix Adult Healthy Weight (SKU: 1174231) Natural Balance L.I.D. Sweet Potato & Bison (SKU: 1307800) Natural Balance L.I.D. Sweet Potato & Venison (SKU: 1133039) As far as joint support, there are products that can help: Only Natural Pet Glucosamine + Asta Joint Support Supplement for Pets (SKU: 1302949) Only Natural Pet Lubri-Ease Plus Joint Supplement for Dogs (SKU: 1303058) Synflex for dogs Cosequin Capsules (SKU: 982776) Good luck!

What is the difference between the Wellness Healthy Weight and Wellness Sr dry formula?

  1. You should probably call the customer service number on the packaging, but my guess would be that the Healthy Weight formula is richer in some of the nutrients needed by younger dogs who may still be growing. The senior formulas usually come with a minimum age guideline as older dogs may not need the same nutrients and may have more sensitive stomachs than a younger dog.
