Will kitten survive? My 8 week old rescue spent 3 days at the vet for dehydration. He lost a ton of weight and is very weak. He was eating well since i got him back ( hills critical care) finished a can in 4 days. Since yesterday he wasnt eating by himself anymore and seemed even weaker. Not grooming. Just sleeping ( kept his eyes open) I took him back to the vet this morning and he was put back on a drip. What are his chances realisticly?
How likely is it that a kitten diagnosed with Pectus Excavatum recovers completley from corrective surgery/intervention. He’s 12 weeks old and acts just like any kitten.
I rescued 2 kittens aprox. 10 wks old. One is the runt. Both are healthy, eating & drinking well, have normal bowels. The smaller (Harlee) was playing with my pup. I believe she unintentionally hurt Harlee. Her left eye is mildly swollen, and third eyelid is visible. She is eating and drinking, however I must assist her to the bowl. She seems woozy. Still having normal bowels with help to litter box. No bleeding or bruising. What is her likelihood at a full recovery and how can I help her?
this question is not for trixie but for a feral kitty. I took him to clinic yesterday after trapping him due to an injured leg. had an abscess from a cat bite and was given convenia, buprenorphine, praziquantel, bravecto on top of being neutered & vaccined for rabies & Fvrcp-C. it’s only been a day & he’s recovering in a large crate in my garage. All these meds & vaccines combined probably would make him not feel well? he doesn’t move around a lot but is Eating a little. normal for his situation?
11 week kitten, just adopted from local shelter. Spayed last week, shots, spay wound healed up. Eating well, but vomited yesterday, had one loose stool last night, other stool normal. Is mostly active. Concern: skin is loose like dehydrated, 3rd eyelid shows sometimes.
Picked up our new brother kittens from the Mich Humane Soc 5 days ago. 3 1/2 months, neutered 6 days ago, shots, etc. the 4pounder is still very active but the 3 1/2 pounder has slowed considerably later today. Both have had diarreah since Sunday. The little one threw up just now after appearing lethargic. Drinking water, eating both wet (nature’s bal) and dry (purina 1 from mich hum soc) food. Any suggestions for our little one for now? Planning on taking them in to MHS in morn.
Kitten had surgery today on anesthesia feels werid and he had water and food feels good he did not vomit
Hi, I wanted to know if my cat has been healing properly. She was spayed at April 2nd and now it's been almost a week. She's been bouncing around, eating, sleeping, uses the litter box regularly and etc... She has disolvable sutures. And I decided to buy her a little post op surgical suit because it's hard for her to eat and use the bathroom with the cone (she's escapes the cone). Do you have any advice on before and after the cone? the pictures from the left are from day one up to today.
Good day, my kitten just survived panleukopenia. What would you advice me I bathe him with?
Hello! My little kitty had sutures put in yesterday for a superficial wound. I was just curious, I’m worried about him continuing to take his cone off. Would it be okay if I made him a little jacket that covers it so he can’t get to it still. As long as he’s not locking and biting at it right?
I got my dog a comfycone. He is 3lb and I was wondering if it covers his face enough for when he gets neuterred in 1 week. He is not used to an e collar so in the pics he may look sad.
Hi, my kitten I rescued is recovering from an URI. His eyes were completely shut and he was underweight. I’ve had him almost a month and I’ve brought him to good health! My only concern is that know that his eyes are starting to open, they look like his third eyelid is permanently over his eyes. He can sense light changes and he can sense shadows on reflective surfaces. My vet said it would be at least two weeks before his eyes were back to normal. He has ointment and daily lysine.
