My dog hated the PB flavored toothpaste

a4girl

The toothpaste smells nothing like peanut butter, so I doubt it tastes like peanut butter. I put some on my finger to let my dog lick it and he tried it, then immediately backed away. I tried again and he literally walked away. My pooch loves food, almost any kind of food, but this is the only time that I've seen him offended by an edible product. I'd suggest buying the toothbrushes separately and trying another brand of toothpaste. My vet suggested C.E.T, so we're trying that next.

It contains sorbitol in it. Is that okay for dogs because I heard it can have a laxative effect.

  1. Hi pinkie123, Yes it is safe for dogs. The level of sorbitol should not have a laxative affect on dogs. Thanks,
