When I received this, my dog had just visited her groomer so I decided to wait a couple of weeks and allow her to get a little dirty before I tried it. My dog is a 95 lb American Bulldog, she is not an outdoorsy type - more couch potatoish. My first assumption was this bottle is entirely too small to cover her whole body. My second assumption was the scent was too light and my last assumption was it would not get her clean. It’s a foaming shampoo and there is a mild residue feel to it. I decided to test it on her paws first. I applied the foam directly on her paw and rubbed it in and what I expected to see would be a cleaner looking white paw than her other paw. That is not what happened, her paw still looked dirty but now it had a filmy feel to it. I used a dry towel to wipe it and the residue feel went away BUT her paw still looked dirty. Also, I smelled no lavender scent. I went ahead and tried it on her whole body with the same results, her coat did not appear clean, no scent and thin residue all over. The only noticeable difference with the waterless shampoo is it loosened a lot of hair. I had a pile of hair comparable to a deshedding session. I cannot recommend this product.

Used the Well and Good Lavender and Chamomile waterless dog shampoo on my pup Rusty. I didn't expect much from a mousse. At first it was sticky and I thought it would leave a residue. While rubbing it in as the instructions implied, we shed a lot of hair, so I got a towel to brush him up with. Once the product dried it did make his cost a little more silky feeling and he does smell lovely after the "wash" but I don't think it will replace a regular bath for us. Might be good for a freshen up before company.

It left all of my dogs' fur feeling clean without it being sticky once it completely dried. It isn't crazy wet or feel gross if you use your fingers to run it through you pups coat. I think this may be a new staple to put in my dogs' go-bag that I keep in the car!

So glad this is available for dogs! I foster and there are times pups will have an accident on the way to meet a potential adopter. This works great for a quick clean and leaves them smelling good! Also helps when your pups are spay or neutered and can’t have a bath for a week. Now they will smell fresh until they are able to have a bath!
