Waste of Money

Buy this cone if you want your dog to pop the snaps off and destroy the stitches you just paid hundreds of dollars for. Ask me how I know....

No, I do not recommend this product.

Not easy to use, at all. Those 3 tabs are a bear to clip. I decided to add two strips of velcro. Made it so much easier. When your dog had surgery, is already a mess, and you have to wrestle with something like this, not good.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Very difficult to assemble

In addition to being too expensive, this item is nearly impossible to put on the dog. And it's too hard/inflexible.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Impossible to fasten

It's impossible to fasten. Go to Petsmart and get one of those cones that have the twist-ons. This one is a complete waste of money.

No, I do not recommend this product.

BAD DESIGN, DOG CAN CHEW THROUGH IT!

Adjmi

Just a few days and the dog has chewed up parts the ring lazily "sewn" around the end of the cone, as well as one of the clips that holds it together. Bad design.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Is there a trick to getting the clips through the holes? Having a really rough time.

  1. We've ordered a dozen or more of these in the past and they are always very (very!) hard to get through the first few times. No trick I've ever found besides pushing really hard. =/ . After that it kinda loosens up, but still secures just fine.

The cone my vet gave us cracked immediately on impact....dog getting used to it. The size showing on the cone is 23, so should I get an X-Large.

  1. 23 cm is about 9 inches or so. So figure out which measurement that corresponds to, either cone depth or the size of the neck.

The collar the vet gave us is 8" in length. Only problem is it's not clear so he's bumping into things. Tell me why the medium is 7.25" in length and large is 9.25" in length. 2" really??

  1. Hi bluesoups, The collars were designed to be different sizes. As to why 2 inches was chosen as the difference between the medium and large it is because those two sizes fit the most pets. Thanks,

What size did you buy your corgi cone?

  1. Hi corgilover313, We suggest that you measure your pet's neck and check the sizing guides for each size in the attributes/specification tab on the product page. Thanks,

Depth?

  1. Hi Joye43wil, It varies depending on the model. From XS to XL it goes: 4.5in, 5.25in , 7.25in, 9.25in, 12in. Thanks,

Can my dog still eat and drink with this on?

  1. Absolutely!  Best in a round container  vs an elongated one that could stop the cone from lowering to the floor.  Should you feed in a fancy type of dish or dish stand, you may reconsider a temporary round one. The cone will fit right around it and the pup still have total access.  They may think their world has come here to an end but they’ll get used to it!!  Ultimately, we have more of a problem than they do!!!

HOW DO I GET CLIPS, DOG USED THE CONE FOR FOUR DAYS AND THEY ALL BROKE.

  1. Hi Max1970, We are sorry to hear about this. We suggest that you contact the store if it was an in-store purchase or our Customer Relations department at 877-738-6742 if it was an in-store purchase. Thanks,

What size should I get for a 4lb yorkie?

  1. Hi Lil Mo, Either 2404455 or 2404447 should work depending on the dog’s neck width. Thanks,

Size for a cavalier King Charles ?

  1. This was for a 7 lb Shih Tzu

Would the XS work for most cats?

  1. I used mine for a dog- if the cat is the same weight I don’t see why not.
