Great grooming rake

I have used this grooming rake on both of our dogs, a young Chorkie and a senior mystery mixed breed, and it works well on both of their coats. Our older dog particularly seems to prefer being brushed with the grooming rake. I like that it gets the mats out of his fur while not upsetting him and his increasingly achy joints. Since we started using it, there is less fur around the house to pick up, which is fantastic!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Good grooming rake

This is my first time trying a grooming rake as opposed to a traditional de-shedder, and it's been working great so far. My German Shepherd has thick fur and this feels like it gets all the way down to her skin, but since the grooming prongs are rounded, it's not hurting her. It did a decent job at removing a lot of her loose fur and it does help detangle the longer sections of her coat, like her tail. Compared to my other de-shedder, it doesn't pull out as much fur but I've also read that other de-shedders can strip and damage the fur as it's being brushed out, so a grooming rake seems a little safer. The plastic on the head of the rake feels cheap but that doesn't really impact the function. Overall it's a nice tool to add to my DIY grooming kit.

Yes, I recommend this product.

This rake works really well for getting mats out of cat or dog fur. This rake breaks up the mat very easily and works well. It was labeled as for dogs but I used it for our cats instead because our dog has short fur.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Amazing de-shedding rake!

This is the best de-shedding tool I have ever used on my lab-mix. Franny is a senior dog with sensitive skin and she not only allowed me to use it without any fussing or growls, but she liked it! And it did a great job. Franny has a thick fur coat and tends to shed in clumps. A few swipes with this tool a few times a week has noticeably reduced the amount of her fur on the floors, as well as making her coat look smooth and not the lumpy-ish texture it can get when it is shedding season. I highly recommend this product!
