I have a Corgi and I got this undercoat rake for her because the slicker brush I had for my other dogs just wasn't cutting it. She sheds daily and I wanted something to help keep it under control. Unfortunately, this is not it. It is made very well, but it's not the right tool for what I need. The search continues.

We have 2 mini golden doodles and this tool is a must. We brush them often, almost daily, but they still get matting and tangles around the neck/collar area. This comb does the job. Does not hurt them and with just a few passes and a little bit of corn starch it does get the matts out. I highly recommend this is you have a doodle.

Unfortunately this brush doesn’t work for my dogs fur. I guess I read the description wrong. I have a dachsund/beagle and a bassett/hound mix that have shorter flat fur. I was looking for a brush that works for de-shedding. However this brush for de-matting looks like a quality brush that would be good for de-matting. The metal brushes are spread apart and have a bend at the end.

The undercoat curved dog comb is extremely effective at managing my Australian Shepherd's double coat. It is easy to use to use and in just a few strokes I am able to remove any loose undercoat fur and it leaves her coat soft, shiny and also helps prevents matting. The brush itself is very lightweight and is very comfortable in your hand while grooming your dog. I would really like if they could improve the tool so that it doesn't pull as much on the fur/skin.

Such a great brush! Our dog is prone to matted hair and it’s a real pain but this brush went through mats super super easily without a great deal of fuss by our dog. The metal bristles are very sturdy and it’s easy to clean.

Absolutely love this comb, helps detangle even the Matt's in our kitties too. Works great for loosening tiny mattes and larger ones too. Highly recommend this to all pet owners for detangling the longer hair.

I bought this comb hoping for a solution for my goldendoodle tail as it often knots and tends to get matted ,I wanted to opt out from me having to cut off the knots with scissors luckily I found this comb which helps alot with those knots and matted areas would highly recommend to anyone that has a furry dog

Can I use this comb left handed?

No, not really. You can hold it in your left hand, but the curves will go the wrong way for combing with a normal motion. I am disappointed in the response to the question by Petco Customer Service, as it was misleading. I did order the comb based in part on that answer, and I am less than satisfied because the answer was incorrect.
