Instructions: Brush coat to loosen up mats. With the flat side against your pet's skin, split the mat into sections. Place fingers between the skin and brush to prevent pulling of the skin. Slowly brush through hair in saw-like motions. Brush through coat to collect loose fur. Use special care around sensitive areas. Remember to reward your cat when you are finished. Caution: Not suitable for children. Keep out of reach of children. Not a toy. Intended for pet use only. Use with care and follow instructions. If injuries occur, contact veterinarian immediately. I bought this a week ago shipping was quick but the actual product wasn't satisfactory at all it barely goes through my ultra fine haired Maltese without pulling her hair so bad she won't let me use it my shih tzu isn't a fan either it literally rips their small mats out without me brushing very hard for the record my dogs are brushed daily but the brush I've had for several years and is started to loose teeth so I thought buying this one would be like their other one it is definitely not. I don't recommend this to anyone

Perfect for what I needed. I also like it had the little balls at the end so it doesnt hurt/scratch my dog's hair. Takes the dead hair out and leaves it smooth.

Yes. Even short-haired dogs shed and by brushing them you are not only helping them to get rid of those hairs that are falling out, but you’re also helping to spread the oils from their skin onto the healthy hairs and promoting a nice shine to their coat. Plus, most dogs love being brushed. If your dog is sensitive to brushes, I just wouldn’t press down as hard as I would say for a German Shepherd, who has a thick undercoat. I have used many dog brushes, and this is by far my favourite brush for my German Shepherd I have ever used!

I have a husky/malamute pup. We’ve had a hard time finding a good brush for her. How well does this get into the under coat?

I have Tibetan Mastiffs with a heavy undercoat. The slicker brush works great on the head and tail and to collect undercoat that has been loosened. A rake, also available at PetCo, does the undercoat removal the best.

I’m preparing for my future pup! (A Pomeranian, Maybe teacup Pom) and i needed to know of this will be able to comb their thick coats as it is extremely important to brush their fur. And if this isn’t can you recommend a comb(s) for me please? Thanks!
