I bought this brush because my puppy was always dirty and I didn't want to bathe her a lot. I thought it would great for her, she's a lab, but the brush really doesn't do anything for her. I would just keep in mind what fur your dog has and if you're a first time pet owner definitely ask what brush works best for your dog!

The bristle brush part of this dog brush is good and so was the clearance price but the metal prong part is weak and does not brush through thick fur or a double coat like my mini Aussie has
