We tried the Well & Good 2-in-1 Hypoallergenic Shampoo & Conditioner for cats for the first time with my 16-year-old senior cat named Frankie. She had not had a bath in quite a while, and like many cats, is not a fan of getting wet, so I was expecting an unhappy cat. I set up the bath for her, thinking that I would need a lot of extra towels and extra containers of warm water to rinse off the soap. I usually bathe my cat in the kitchen sink, filling the sink with enough warm water to keep the cat warm and still lather her up (I do sanitize the sink after we are done). I usually need several quarts of rinse water to get the soap out. What I found pleasantly surprising was that I did not need nearly as much extra water to rinse out the shampoo and conditioner. The bath water was dirty, so I knew the shampoo was working. It was so easy to rinse the cat because the remaining bath water was not sudsy like with a usual shampoo and did not really need to be drained and replaced. When Frankie’s bath was done, I towel-dried her and later brushed her fur out. This is a fragrance free shampoo, but I like how she smelled after the bath. She did not smell like wet cat but also did not smell like some sort of perfume. I am very happy with this 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner. The two best elements to me were how easy it rinses out and how my pet smelled clean (but fragrance-free) when she was done with her bath. I plan on continuing to use this product.

This shampoo and conditioner worked great for my cat. He never grooms himself so we have to give him baths. This had a nice lather and light smell and didn’t take too long to rinse out of his fur, which is important when bathing a cat! It’s nice that it’s a shampoo and conditioner combo too.

My cat dragged his bottom across my kitchen floor, leaving me with a 3 foot-long brown streak. This created a large cow patty of poo mixed with his long fur. Luckily, I had my new bottle of Well and Good hypoallergenic cat shampoo with conditioner to try out. I liked that it is hypoallergenic and has conditioner in it to help keep my cat's skin moisturized and to help with combing out tangles with his long hair. The slim bottle is a good design because it makes it easy to hold in one hand when holding an angry cat. I took the whole cap off beforehand because I was going to use alot of product for the job. I prepared two separate buckets of diluted shampoo, about 10% of the bottle per 5 gallon bucket of warm water. It mixed well and was not too foamy. After wetting down the cat, I poured more shampoo into my hand and applied it directly on the offending bottom to work off the poo. I was happy that the shampoo poured out quickly and was not too thick. After rinsing, I dunked his body up to his neck in bucket one, and swished, rinsed, then repeated with bucket 2 and a final rinse. I kept his head up and his face dry the whole time, so I cannot say if it was a no tear formula. I could tell that this shampoo rinsed out more easily than others I have tried because there were no bubbles when I squeezed the water out of the fur after the final rinse. The shampoo also did not have much of a scent which is good for cats with sensitive skin. His fur, after it dried, brushed out easily and was soft and shiny! Overall, I was pleased with the quality of the shampoo. I received these products for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review.

I like that this is hypoallergenic and free of parabens, just makes me feel a little better giving something on the clean side to my cat. As far shampoos go this was fine, she seems soft and clean as anything else. I think I prefer a light sceny to unscented, but thats a personal preference.
