It's bigger than I thought it'd be, but that's OK. Putting it together will be easy enough on my own.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Why can’t anyone make a good rabbit cage?!

Some parts of this cage are good BUT others are terrible. I like the depth of the litter tray. I like that you can easily put a liner in it. BUT I have to take the rabbit completely out of the cage to remove the tray and clean it. Also, if you forget to put the tray “keeper” back in place, there’s a chance the rabbit could bounce the tray loose and escape. Second: the holes to put the panels together did not line up in one place and I was forced to zip tie it together! Third: it’s so small. My rabbit weighs five pounds and she barely has room to stretch out. Overall, Ware had a good start on this cage but it falls short of its description. It’s not strong and it’s a pain. I will continue my search for the perfect cage. I don’t know why it’s so hard for pet manufacturers to get this right.

Decent cage. Manufacturing issues, not Petco!

The size is great and love that is is on wheels. One of the legs for the caster did not fit as the hole was not drilled evenly (thankfully I had someone able do drill the metal for me to fit). Also, I agree with others that the whole tray having to come out to change the litter is a real pain and bad design. I’m not too fond of the fact the wire bottom seemed warped and flimsy. Manufacturers issue, not Petco!

Flimsy bottom grate

I'm shocked this cage has such high reviews (which is why I bought it). We bought it for our small Holland Lop about a year ago and I thought it was fantastic. However, now the bottom grate is falling apart and the wires are pointing up and out and I'm concerned they are going to poke our bunny's feet. I'm looking for a new cage but had to put this review up because I would NOT recommend this product.

Good Rabbit Home...but some drawbacks

Longhorn Chris

Our rabbit is enjoying not having to sit in or around its mess, since the mess falls into the tray below the wire mesh. However, it likes to do its business in just one corner and since the mesh is on level with the edge of the home, sometimes the bunny's business splashes onto our tile or wall. Our bun used to sit down in the tray so any splashing would stay well within the tray's tall side walls. Also, with this setup, hay falls below the wire mesh and into the potty tray, so it is unusable at that point...thus a waste of hay. Before, the hay would sit within the deep tray on one side and the bun could eat it all without wasting it. This new home is nice looking and built well. Although the plastic shelf comes off easily when nudged by our bun. Overall a good investment. My concerns are more with the type of home versus the brand or construction of the home. It is easy to move with the rolling wheels and I like the black plastic tray color as it hides stains better. Also, we don't notice as much smell with this setup versus our other home where our bun sat in the tray. Definitely more hygienic this way. If you don't have any issues with my comments above, this is a good home for a bunny. We looked hard for a week and this is the home we decided on.

Not good for bunny, maybe ferrets.

It’s a good product but rabbits usually don’t like multi level homes, being that they are very clumsy and they could easy fall and gtet hurt an these cages usually don’t have lost of room as it is then if you add levels it’s very crammed up. Also they don’t really have pass on their feet like cats and dogs (also their townails can get stuck in the wire) do so the wires really hurt their feet an could cause sores so if you use wire cages it’s best to cover the bottom with something to protect their feet but it defeats the purpose of an easy clean up so I recommend getting a cage with plastic bottom an just trying to litter train them. Just my opinion and things I’ve researched!

No, I do not recommend this product.

The only problem I found is the way the tray pulls out. It forces what ever is on the screen onto the floor. Other wise it’s great!

Will this cage work for a ferret? What is the spacing between the bars?

Hi! I’m thinking about using this cage for my guinea pig. I was wondering if the wheels are removable because I want to put her cage on a table and not on the ground.

My bunny is use to paper bedding. Is it safe to skip this and her lay, sleep on wire? Lots of mess with bedding because no side to hold it in.

      1. It's never good to use wire flooring with rabbits, which is why it shocks me that so many do. The pan is nice and deep, which makes it easy to hold bedding and makes prey animals feel safe. People complain about rabbits "sitting in their own mess"---but hey. Rabbit crap is basically just dry pellets, and it's so much better than having wire digging into your paw pads at all times. Please take out the wire flooring. I don't even know why they still make it that way, it's outdated and unhealthy for the rabbit.

Hi! I purchased the WARE Living Room Rabbit Home. I'd like to know how long the metal mesh that the rabbit sits should last. Mine is starting to break at the edges. I don't want my rabbit to get hurt. Thank yuo.

      1. I do not use the metal mesh. I place paper absorbent bedding (carefresh bedding) in the bottom. The metal mesh if cleaned weekly should last 2 years. If it if breaking in some areas I would use a metal snippet to cut it off. Then use a dremmel to file it down so that it is smooth so the rabbit doesn’t get cut on the sharp edges.

is this cage good for guinea pigs? and is it too small for two of them.

      1. Good Day, Thank you for reaching out to us. The Living Room Rabbit Home would be a suitable cage for two Guinea pigs. Hope this information has been helpful.

can a lion head bunny go up the ramp?

      1. Yes, a Lionhead could!

Is the 26” measured from the ground up or does it only measure the cage part without the wheels?

      1. Good Day, Thank you for reaching out to us. The measurement to the Living Room Rabbit Home do include the wheels . Hope this information has been helpful.

How far apart are the wires on this enclosure?

      1. Good Day, Thank you for reaching out to us. The Living Room Rabbit Home has 1'' ware spacing. Hope this information has been helpful.

Is there a way to replace the bottom wire grate as I have only had ours for 6 months and it has all completely separated?

      1. Wire grates aren't good for a bunnies feet so I just wouldn't replace it. If your rabbit doesn't already have bumblefoot from living on wire than you can just leave it as is.

Is the wire bottom rack(which the animal would sit on if the rack were in place) removable? So that I could just put bedding and have the animals on the bedding and not on the wire?

      1. Good Day, Thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, The Living Room Rabbit Home does come with a removable wire floor grate. Hope this information has been helpful.
