This will work fine for me.

This cage isn't particularly special but it will work fine for my intended uses. My bunny spends a lot of time outdoors or in a large playpen so this is only for sleeping, eating, and using his litter box. It will work fine AS LONG AS YOU take out the "wire" (it's actually plastic) flooring. It would not work for your bunnies feet at all.

No, I do not recommend this product.

WARNING: Rabbits should at least be free roamed throughout a house, or be free roamed in a room dedicated for them...at LEAST a LARGE playpen!! Rabbits dont belong in cages, they are simply way to small. Think of it like putting a human in a smal closet and telling them to live there forever.

This is not a suitable size cage for any rabbit! If you are or did buy this cage, do your research.

Don't even bother. The top bars are broken on two cages and the bottom is flimsy and has that glorious plastic stress bend - the white stretch mark. It looks like complete and utter garbage after just a week... I will be returning these somehow.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My newest rabbit, a tan named Bailey, came with this cage when I brought her home. Overall the cage feels cheaply made and very light, so although it will be easy to carry or transport it can bend or break easily. The wire flooring in a safe gauge for the feet which I love, and it hasn't bent under the pressure of my tan and her two heavy water dishes so it holds up well, but I wouldn't put a rabbit bigger than 8 pounds in there. The pan on the bottom is very short and my high absorbency bedding expands over the sides, so as an easy fix I made bumpers on the side with scrap wood. MOST IMPORTANTLY! rabbits can and will push the door open. But this isn't a big deal if you just slide the tip of the door under the wire above it, or use a binder clip. Overall? I would not spend more than 20$ for this cage new, so it may be worth it to make your own or get a more expensive cage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Would this be a good cage for a fancy rat?

  1. It probably wouldn't work for a rat. The real question is: Why are you keeping rats alone without a ratty friend????

Is this cage good for a Guinea pig? If not what size cage does a Guinea pig need?

  1. This is too small for a guinea pig as a permanent home. Keep guinea pigs together, I had a friend who insisted on keeping her guinea pig alone and it died from stress caused by lonliness (plus a horribly tiny 18x18" cage). Guinea pigs should have at least 40x24" of floorspace. I recommend the Kaytee open pet living habitat (either the 24x48 or the 60x30, they are both big enough for two). Hope this helps!

What is the size (length x width x height) of the cage?

  1. Floorspace is 30x18, which totals to 540 square inches. I don't know the height.

Hello! I would like to know if a rabbit cage would be good for guinea pigs. All of your guinea pig cages are to small and would not fit 2 guinea pigs. So if i added a few touches to make a guinea pig home. could i do that?

  1. This is literally the same size as all of the guinea pig cages. I recommend one of the Kaytee Open Living habitats, either the 48"x24" or the 60"x30"

How many rabbits can fit in it comfortably?

  1. You could use this as a starter cage for one bunny, or a home base for one standard rabbit or two dwarfs. It shouldn't be a permanent home for any bun.

Could the wire on the bottom be removed for Guinea pigs

  1. Good Day, Thank you for reaching out to us. We would not recommend constructing the Chew Proof Rabbit Cage without the floor grate. The pull tray does not have a stopper to keep it from sliding out. Hope this information has been helpful. https://images.warepet.com:444/ShowPDF.ashx?id=00682&rel=Instructions

If I were to get this for 3 mice, would it be a good cage? I want something big enough to fit them and all of their needs.

  1. The gaps are too big for mice. Get a cage with 1/4 bar spacing, unless you want mice all over your house.

Is there a pull out tray?

  1. Thank you for your inquiry. Yes there is a pull out bottom tray. There is a wire grating that separates the rabbit from the bottom pull out tray. I hope this information has been helpful.

Are Holland Lops good for this cage?

  1. This cage has 1" wire spacing and would be suitable for any breed of Rabbit.

Does the paint from the cage chip off?

  1. No, I have had this cage for along time and it has never chipped
