This thing is constructed TERRIBLY. I had to use zip ties everywhere because nothing hooked up correctly. I made it last as long as I could. Only good thing is the vertical space for the hamster.

Chew proof- NOT escape proof :(

We bought this cage for our daughter’s first hamster. Didn’t even make it 24 hours before it escaped. The cage is set up 100% correct- but it still made it out. We now have a hamster looses somewhere in our 4 story house and I pray to god we find it alive somewhere because this is not a good experience

Easy to install but the ramps are a little loose so pliers are recommended to keep them in place.

For hamsters that loves to climb this is perfect! I got an acrobat and she amazes me climbing around. Wish this had more living space for roaming around. After 2 hamsters and 4 years of usage the paint is peeling off the base plate and rusting.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Decent Cage

The cage is small and I definitely do not recommend for rats, however I purchased this cage with the intent of housing two African Soft Furred rats. These rats are way smaller than fancy hamsters. My ASF rats were being kept in a 20 gallon aquarium and I felt they were extremely unhappy. They have been in the cage about a week now. I have been able to hang different toys and have a nice hut for them to nest in and since moving them they have been very happy. They climb the bars and squeeze between the platforms. Its like a huge jungle gym for them. I gave it 3 stars because as I stated, the top wire portion has a few gaps at the middle that did worry me they might try to push through it and the bars could be stronger. The base is metal and very sturdy and the top sits inside the metal base preventing them from trying to chew or push through. I would recommend for smaller hamsters or ASF rats. If you have a tiny hamster or anything larger than an ASF rat I woudnt do it.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I sprung for this inexpensive online sale and you get what you pay for. The whole thing basically just folds together, and not super cohesively. So many gaps that make upper levels and ramps unstable and with a small enough pet inside, or a persistent enough cat outside, there's so much room for disaster here. Spend the money on something safer for your pets.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We bought this cage and love it- but would love to add a little more flexibility with the layout- is there a way to order more of just the platforms? Thank you!

I am wanting to rescue a squirrel with a lame arm. Take care of it so it may heal and return to normal life. After I'm done, can I fold it up to store until I have another opportunity to rescue again?

      How wide is the cage?

Is this cage good for a male gerbil ?

what are the dimensions of this (height, width, length) ?

Would this cage be suitable for a sugar glider? Please answer ASAP as mine has figured out a way to escape through the bars of her current cage and I don't want her to get lost.

            1. Yes it would be

would this hurt my hamster's feet because of the platforms?

            1. I don't know about hurting them. Our hamster is very small and her tiny feet easily slip through, so we put a piece of construction paper down on the platforms to give her something solid to walk on. It works just fine. Our hamster is very happy in this cage and I think it is easy to clean. I like the platforms, but because of some other reviews that they can pinch a hamster, I moved them each in an inch, so the hammy can go up and down on both sides of each platform. Our wheel is in the middle.

Would this cage be good for sugar gliders?

Would this be a good cage for a rat?

              1. HamsterPolice said that a rat cage would need to be 72cm x 36cm x 44cm. So let's see: 72 cm=28 in, 36 cm=14 in, 44 cm=17 in. So that's the (semi-accurate) translation for all you Americans out there, 28 x 14 x 17". 392 square inches, 6,664 cubic inches. 2,592 square centimetres, 114,048 cubic centimetres. So this falls a little under the radar. Also, please get two rats! They need company! HamsterPolice's recommendation seems pretty accurate. Just trying to be helpful:)!
