Your Deluxe U-Clip Pet Clipper will come equipped with everything you need to start grooming at home including a How-To-DVD! The Wahl #30-15-10 Standard Adjustable blade adjusts between different blade lengths via a taper lever on the side of the clipper similar to ones traditionally used for human hair. If you have experience clipping hair, this will be a breeze. If you don't, no worries, the 3 different lengths give you a lot of flexibility to clip with. Not only does your Deluxe U-Clip come with an easy-to-use adjustable blade, it also comes with a series of guide combs that give you even MORE flexibility in your cutting lengths. If you want to leave the fur a little longer on your pup's legs but keep it shorter on his head, attachment combs can help you do that. Other convenient additions include a storage case, grooming scissors, a comb, an apron!

The Deluxe U-Clip comes with a 2 year limited warranty. This warranty is valid only for sales in the United States. If your Wahl product fails to operate satisfactorily within its limited warranty time frame from the date of original purchase or receipt as a gift, Wahl will at our option repair or replace it and return it to you FREE OF CHARGE. Our warranty does not cover blades, which are wear out parts.
Before you start clipping, you will want to bathe and brush your pet's coat. Clipping a dirty, tangled coat is not only uncomfortable for your pet, but it will also dull your blades quicker. If your pet is new to grooming, we also recommend introducing them to your clipper before you start grooming. Turn your clipper on and let your pet check them out. This allows your pet to get used to the sound and vibrations before you begin using them.

Has anyone used these for a long haired cat? I have a Siberian forest cat and it is HOT down here where we live in the summer. I don’t want to cut too short due to risk of sunburn. Would these be best or another set? I don’t want to cut his delicate skin.

Wahl clippers and attachment combs are all I use. My first wahl clipper is this one the Wahl U-Clip Deluxe as an in home groomer DIY. The most difficult thing for me is the lever positions. 30-15-10. It's not to clear. What are the positions of 30,15,10?
We have a pup with a thick undercoat and our usual Whal clippers burn up the motor fast! Are these better for thick coated dogs?
- If you're working with a thick undercoat, the Deluxe U-Clip is unfortunately probably not the best option for you as this clipper is really designed more for those lighter coated breeds. For a thicker coated dog, I would recommend upgrading to the Wahl KM2, Power Grip, or KM10 - these clippers will have the power and torque you will need to power through a tougher coat.

Does this product works on a chow mix? If not can someone recommend another?
- As with any pet clipper, it'll work on your dog's coat if you take slow even strokes. Remember not to let the clipper overheat. You will need to keep them cool so they don't burn your pet; also keeping the clipper blade free and clear of excessive hair. Take your time and good luck.

Will this work good ok a cocker spaniel
- Yes. Mine is a golden retriever mix and she has tons of hair around her tail and it worked really well on her so your dog would be easy. They have different attachments for different lengths of hair.

I have a labradoodle with thick hair. Will these work to shave her, or will the blades get caught in her coat?
- I’ve used this set of clippers for 2.5 years with my double doodle (half labradoodle half goldendoodle). They work decently. You need their hair to be tangle free though or else you have to use it gaurdless. I recommend washing and blow drying the dogs hair straight before trying to cut it.

I have limited funds. I am looking for a trimmer that will help maintain hygiene on my male standard poodle between groomings. Groomer says it's the thickest/tightest coat she's ever seen on a Standard. Would this work for me?

Do these clippers get hot. My current clippers get hot shortly after starting. I have to trim my dogs a little at a time.
- Good Morning, Your Wahl U Clip Deluxe should not be getting hot that quickly in the grooming process. Please make sure you are oiling them at each corner of the blade(then wipe off before using). If this does not help they should come back to Wahl Service Center at 1-800-776-9245.

can i use dog nail clippers to cut my guinea pigs nails there over grown
Have a spunky new rescue chihuahua mix and she is skittish. So much so she will resist any efforts to trim her nails. We have 4 dogs so I have trimmed nails hundreds of times--but with Ricki Ricardo, no luck. I sit on the floor and flip them over and cradle them between my legs. My wife distracts them with peanut butter on a spoon. Besides going to a groomer or vet, any ideas? I thought maybe a groomer table might help. Are there premium nail cutters of higher quality than store bought?

My dog Zeus has recently developed a fear over getting his claws clipped, I have tried restraining and also letting him come to me on his own but he is just to afraid.
