I have a lab who is an intense chewer. She got a hole within the first hour spent a week pulling out all the stuffing.

We have bought this particular Duffy Dog Toy because it holds up far better than any other toy we have ever bought. This ring lasts about 4 - 8 weeks with our two pit-mix dogs who love to play tug of war with them. Although the stuffing is out and the ring is ripped by week 8, they still have fun with it for about 2 months! Better than the typical two hours!!

I would recommend to a pet owner who does not have an aggressive chewer. Toy seems to be well made. However, my pit mix destroyed it in 10 minutes. Someone needs to make ultra-strong, ultra-durable toys without squeakers or other noise-making inserts for dogs over and beyond "mega" chewers.

Our dog can tear most new toys up within the first 2 days; we've had this several weeks and he hasn't ripped it yet. It's very durable and he enjoys it

German Shepherd loves it and I love it for inside the house as it soft enough not to destroy anything but sturdy enough to take his big jaws. The only thing I would not recommend it for is a dog who likes to pull the stuffing out of it. Surprisingly there is quite a bit tightly packed inside as our other dog proved and it is an expensive toy to have its stuffing pulled out. Otherwise, I love it and this is our second one. The only reason we needed a replacement was because the other dog pulled out its stuffing.

WELLWE WERE HOPEFUL AS THIS WAS THE TOUGHEST TOY WE COULD FIND THAT WASNT A RUBBER BALL. THE TIGER THAT HAD IT MUST HAVE BEEN A KITTEN COMPARED TO OUR LAB HOUND MIX PUPPY THAT HAD IT OPENED WITHIN 4 MINUTES ON CHRISTMAS MORNING. SHES 14 MONTHS AND DESTROYS EVERYTHING, IT BREAKS OUR HEARTS THAT SHE HAS NO TOYS WHATSOEVER AS NOTHING SURVIVES HER, EXCEPT ANTLERS, AND THEY ARE NOT TOYS.

This toy is larger than my dog's head. I'm not sure he'd ever actually be able to play with it.

I must not have bothered to look at the dimensions before ordering this, but it's definitely larger than I expected at more than a foot in diameter. At first I thought this might be a problem, but our dogs handle it and it's actually pretty comical to see them carrying it around. The product is definitely sturdily built. We have two greyhounds that were quickly destroying your average squeaky toy and have not destroyed these after more than a week. The squeakers are so well embedded that it's actually hard for even me to make it squeak at times so it provides a challenge to the dog to find the squeaker and chew hard enough to make a noise. One of our dogs tends to pick at the edges in order to get into toys and she has managed to fray the edging in several places, but not to get into it yet. I'm not sure how much longer the edges will last though, she got through a Tuffy plush bone's edges in just an hour or so.
